Anyone else stocking up on mags?
Much like toilette paper in March, panic is causing everyone to buy up every round of every caliber RIGHT NOW to regain a sense of control. The value of having ammo a few thousand rounds of 5.56 on hand notwithstanding, I'm especially struck by the illogic nature of this - no matter who gets elected...

Re: AR Pistol Carry...the “proper/legal” way...
Yeah, either shoulder/belt holster, or concealed. Which means really means concealed, obviously. The better solution is, of course, drop $200 on a stamp, form 1 that baby to a SBR, and rock out. As a matter of seriousicity, they honest to God make holsters... jeez. https://gastatic.com/digest/wp-con...

Re: Odessa Rifle Carry, Law Discussion
To the second point, which I believe is leverage in the notion of plea-bargaining 99% of everything in America nowadays is this: Disorderly Conduct under §42.01(a)(8) - Class B Misdemeanor Terroristic Threat under §22.07(a)(2) - Either a Class B or a Class A or a State Jail Felony, depending on the...

Re: Odessa Rifle Carry, Law Discussion
I came here to post about this story after I just read it in the local news... beat me to it! This is pretty obviously (to me) a criminal situation being charged under the wrong law. I've checked four different articles, and they all say that the dudes carrying rifles were intending to intimidate pe...

Re: Texas Law regarding Open Carry of Firearm
2 - You have a GCA "firearm" like you're describing, which looks like this: https://johnpierceesq.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Pistol_Fore_Grip.jpg Federal law says that it's a generic "firearm" for the Gun Control Act but not for the NFA, so no tax stamp required. Texas case ...

Re: Texas Law regarding Open Carry of Firearm
I am hoping to get an answer to this question; hoping it has been previously addressed. I know we can open carry a long gun (rifle) with no issue. I know we can conceal carry and open carry handguns (with holster) with no issues. But, what about a "firearm". By "firearms", am re...

Re: FS - Arsenal SLR-106F (5.56 AK) - Houston
It's in the normal AK range of around 2 MOA for accuracy, comparable to 5.45 and a bit better than 7.62... not as much barrel flexing and slamming the receiver with the light recoil impulse. Before I bought this 106, I wanted a 5.45 AK74 clone instead, and then the ammo market dried up for it. It's ...

FS - Arsenal SLR-106F (5.56 AK) - Houston
For sale - Arsenal SLR-106F (5.56 AK) Two years ago I really wanted an AK-74 chambered in 5.56, and grabbed an Arsenal SLR-106F... and then promptly was completely sidetracked by how easy eforms are on the ATF nowadays and have gone whole-hog into AR-style rifles instead to SBR and customize. Went t...

Thanks all! I'll look into these folks soon... probably have about another week to wait on the stamp, based on the trackers!

Remington 870 barrel shortening in Houston
I've got a Form 1 coming soon on a Remington 870 for an AOW, and I'm looking for someone in the Houston area who might be able to help me shorten the barrel and magazine tube into a 2+1 length. I have a feeling I could cut and rethread the tube on my own, but I don't have the knowledge to re-weld th...

Re: HB 302/SB 472 - Owners/Guests/Tenants of Condos cannot be barred from Carrying
If I read this correctly it applies to both unlicensed possession and carry as well as licensed carry. In other words someone who does not have a LTC may not be prohibited by management from having a firearm and ammo in his apartment, condo, manufactured housing, or carrying it back and forth betwe...

Re: SBR or pistol
As far as my opinion of amusement and function goes, SBR all the way, baby! I've shot pistols, pistols with braces, and proper SBRs, and the SBR is always the easiest, most comfortable, and most accurate of the bunch. I've never regretted any of my stamps. I think the reason why the SBR Victor has a...
