Secure it and wait for someone to claim it. If they're the legitimate owner, they should know the serial number.

I saw the video and it looked like they were wearing both at the moment they committed those acts.

That's one of those questions I can't answer unless and until I am on the jury and hear the facts. My advice is to do what you need to do within your moral code to stay alive, and be willing to deal with any consequences that result from your actions.
