Re: Carry Insurance

The report is from May 2018, so it might be outdated. I'm surprised these two questions were not included because they are bigees: 1. What are your claim limits, if any? 2. Are civil penalties covered? Those sound like things an umbrella insurance policy would cover more than "lawyer insurance".

This is a good comparison document I found. I shared it out here: https://cloud.eggycrew.com/f/aecf4efc84324c0e955d/

Texas3006.com - Support added for verbal notifications

Hi all, Just a heads up that we (the Texas3006.com team) have pushed an update for the apps and website to support three new entry restriction types, "Verbal 30.06, Verbal 30.07, and Verbal 30.06 & 30.07". This is a direct response to the multiple retailers who have decided to place us, the good guy...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

As for background checks, LTC folks have that covered as we voluntarily submit to them every 5 years. I can't get too upset by expanding background checks since I have voluntarily done so 3 times here in TX (and multiple times in the military with security clearances.). If i have to pay $25 to get ...

Re: TX: Woman shoots robber trying to grab purse

Percieved threat / disparity of force / amount of ammo issues notwithstanding, her statement that she "shot until I couldn't shoot any more", would seem to be fertile ground for a prosecutor if they chose to press charges. This is a classic case of "Just shut up, it's for your own good". You never ...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

I noticed a new sign at Walmart this Saturday. It said something to the effect that carrying a firearm is illegal unless the person is licensed under Chapter 4....blah blah blah. I've never seen a sign like this before, but it was not 30.06, so.... That is a TABC "blue sign", and every retailer in ...

TSRA Sportsman Magazine

Hey all, I've noticed a lot of new registrations on Texas3006.com referencing the TSRA Sportsman magazine as their source for finding the website. When looking at their latest digital copy online I'm not seeing the site mentioned anywhere. Does anyone have a copy of the magazine that might be able t...

Re: FWPD Sgt Doesn't know LTC law

I OC almost exclusively practically everywhere I go, and have yet to be challenged by any officer. The only time a discussion was raised was when a Sams Club employee asked if I was licensed. I said yes. He then left me alone without ever asking to actually see my license. (The point of that interac...

Re: Attorney Andrew Branca Discusses Self Defense "Insurance"

I decided to pick up a self defense insurance company. I pay for it so that I have a dedicated, single point of contact that is supposedly there 24/7 and will answer the phone. If a problem arises, I like to know I have a card in my wallet that gives me access to an attorney, without paying anything...

Re: City courthouse with 30.06 and 30.07 sign. Legal?

she also ruled that licensed carry could be forbidden in the entire building ONLY when court is in session
Where exactly does it say this in the actual statute? Is this judge just completely making things up?

Goodness gracious....

Re: Sam’s Club WiFi blocking gun forums

I open carry every time I go to Sam's (along with everywhere else except for HEB). Never been a problem. Had a manager come up to me once and ask if I was licensed. That was it. They can ask but there's no need to answer. *shrug* Or the answer could be in form of a question: "are you a cop?" I did ...
