Re: Rossi 12 gauge shotgun pistol.

I want one, but would likely only use it for a fancy flare gun :fire

Probably too late now, but Robar's proprietary nickel is very highly regarded, and extremely corrosion resistant. ;-)
Yep, it is too late. Robar closed a few months ago http://coatingtechnologiesllc.com/robar-closure/

Re: .357 Magnum Revolver recommendations

The only single action revolver I have is a Heritage Rough Rider .22 with both cylinders. It’s simple enough to teach beginners the basics with CB Caps or other quiet subsonic ammo. And if you want a Big Bang just swap in the Magnum cylinder

Re: Replacement S&W firing pins

I replaced the one in my 686-6. I still get a couple light strikes with some ammo, but I usually keep it loaded with Federal

Re: TX: Chambers County Woman killed by feral hogs

I haven’t seen much evidence of hogs in my yard since I shot one back in July. But my neighbors see them around & they are always around my pond. I always carry when I’m outside around my property. Thinking back on it, I was lucky that they all ran away from me across the street that night. I was cl...

TAM I’d be interested in hearing if your son has the same issues with the gun & if he has done anything to correct them.

Re: Pistol Caliber Carbine Roundup

Fun, fun, fun! A good PCC will put a smile on any new shooter's face. No recoil to speak of, easy ergonomics on the good ones, great accuracy without a lot of effort, and you can't argue with the cost to shoot. Sub 2000 is an interesting gun, but it's not one I'd personally want to put a lot of rou...

Leather thumb-snap Disengages 1911 Safety

I rarely ever carry my RIA 1911A1, but decided to today. I had to make a stop at the post office to pick up a package, so while I was in my truck I took the 1911 out of the holster. I noticed that the safety was not on. I know it was on when I holstered it about a half hour earlier. When I put it ba...

Re: Pistol Caliber Carbine Roundup

Hmmm - no mention of the Beretta CX-4?! It’s been around for only, what, SIXTEEN years. Yeah, the odd “thumbhole” stock is goofy, but I think it deserves mention because I have one and like it. I was also disappointed that there was no discussion of revolver / lever-action combos (which I also have...
