Re: CZ Scorpion Pistol to SBR

Scott, I dig that color. It reminds me of plum AK furniture which I am also rather fond of.

Re: Chili’s WiFi Blocks Forum

Forgot to say, if you are using free public WiFi, up better be using a VPN! This right here. Say no to public wifi without a VPN. The only time I use it if I'm at working from a coffee shop and then I'm connected to my company's VPN. I won't even use airport Wifi (generally because it's awful along...

Re: Another one headed in the wrong direction

NC has been catching a massive influx of Northerners looking for jobs in the Triangle, a better climate and a better cost of living. We will see more of that there sadly.

Re: Yelp* reviews for businesses that post 30.06 and/or 30.07

There are a lot of stories of Yelp basically running extortion rackets against smaller businesses. I don't use their site because of that and the generally slimy feeling that I have when activists use it to try and destroy somebody's business over something that has absolutely nothing to do with tha...

That's what I mean. Calling him a gunman instead of say, Good Samaritan.

Re: MN: CCL holder defends against knife after multi-car accident

Doyle, of Ham Lake, told the Star Tribune at the time that he thanked the gunman. “I told him he saved my life and probably a couple other lives. I actually gave him a hug.”
This really annoys me. You never see gunman used as a positive description.

Re: NYPD finally phases out Cop revolvers

The general NYC population would be safer if the NYPD just disarmed; they're useless pistol-shots mostly thanks to NYC's own policies which forced the closure of shooting ranges at which they would have been able to train. They made their own bed, they can lie in it. Not to mention their special NY...

Re: 10 Round Mag States

For California: 10+1 is legally ok in and of itself but there are not many times you can have a loaded gun. Having a California LTC is one example where you can. You can't transport a loaded gun, even if locked in the trunk. It has to be locked up and unloaded. You cannot bring larger than 10 round ...

Re: Freedom Munitions Closing Store

My guess is with the glut of ammo available in the market again it made little sense to maintain a brick and mortar location that couldn't compete on price.

Re: TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

I have not used LPX though I think I'm going to give that and their gun cleaner a try since I'm almost out of Ballistol. For my shotguns and rifles, I use a boresnake and the Otis kit. I like the pull through feature that both offer and the Otis kit has a 12 GA adapter to make a snug seal with the b...

Re: TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

Aside from cleaning my own guns, I clean a lot of customer guns so I'm always looking for tips. M-Pro 7 is excellent. I keep a 32 oz spray bottle of it close by my bench. I've got the copper cleaner too but don't use it much. I'm too cheap to go the puppy pad route. I cut boxes down and use them. G...
