HR 5717

Read about this bill this morning filed by Hank "Tippy" Johnson Ga. Rep n 1/31/2020. I do not think it will fly, but it is an interesting read.

Good Idea

Read where some Marine law enforcement personnel will now be able to carry their own concealed firearm off duty on base. They will have to meet certain qualifications which were not set out.

150 grain hard cast full wadcutters (non +p)

I have been thinking of getting a box of captioned ammo to try in my .38 spl LCR. Before I get some I wonder if anyone has any idea how that would work in the LCR specifically recoil. It appears from what I have read recently it would make a pretty good SD round.

1911 Carry

Thoughts from anyone here who carries a 1911 5 inch single stack 45 IWB. Just trying to figure out if it is worth trying to do before I spend any money on a holster.

Parkerized Springfield 1911 Defender

I purchased captioned firearm a week or so ago new. Have not shot it yet but will next week. I put a pretty good layer of oil on the slide and let it dry 18 hours or so. I have to say after handling it several times the slide really does not look good. Is this common with this type of finish? The sl...

Can you still request from DPS and get the CHL-16 via snail mail. My computer does not handle PDF's very well.

Re: Communications Failures?

I think it was on Drudge Report yesterday that Texas had been attacked by ransomware (mostly state agencies) that deal with electricity and other things of that nature. I did lose electricity Friday for a very short time.

Sig Sauer P365

I saw a real live Sig P365 yesterday and could not believe how small it is and the number of rounds it packs. Looks and feels like a first class pistol. If I had the money and I could find one I would probably buy one. I am not affiliated with Sig.
