I've not done it personally but flying with firearms isn't supposed to be difficult if you follow the rules. I'd much rather take my chances with that than driving through IL. We followed the rules there, too, but I'm not as comfortable with it as I would like to be.

We've driven in our RV from Dallas to Bay City Michigan. When we take trips like that, I refer to

I agree with the comment that the rules are different in each State and it is a good idea to understand some of those differences. Do you notify an officer during a traffic stop that you are armed? Can you carry in a religious building? You just never know what circumstances you might run into in advance and waiting to figure out the rules until that circumstance occurs.
