Re: California bar shooting leaves 12 dead

Very tragic on many levels. My condolences to the friends and family of these victims. More gun laws are needed in California as concealed carry laws do not prohibit the licensed carrying of a gun in a bar as long as the customer does not drink alcohol. Obviously that law needs to change. Can't bel...

Re: California bar shooting leaves 12 dead

The dems are already planning on using this shooting along with their newly acquired majority in the House to push for gun control. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/after-california-shooting-democrats-promise-to-tackle-gun-violence-in-congress They aren't letting little things like the location of t...

Exit polling is not looking good for Cruz

Robert Frances is carrying 98% of the deceased vote.
The dead always vote Democrat.
I may have held my nose when I voted for Trump, but Dad turned over in his grave when he voted for Beto

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

I hope the blue voters don't find out that their votes count twice on Wednesday and 5 times on Thursday. This is for blue votes only. :tiphat: Did you hear about the changes they made in voting straight party ticket? If you are wanting to vote straight R, the machines will be set up for that today....

The police said this.. The gentleman who unfortunately lost his life, the teenage boy who is in the hospital recovering from his injuries and the father who is also recovering from his injuries,” Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Bryan Shelton said, Why is a BG shooting up a place a gentleman? Why i...

Re: Early Voting

Good news from Alvin.

I voted yesterday and the line was out the door with about 40 or so folks outside in line. We all had a good time making fun of Beto and his campaign. Only one person out of the 40ish folks there seemed uncomfortable with the anti-Robert Frances banter.

Re: Legit or gimmick?

This is interesting. Looks like you can lighten your recoil spring considerably without slapping the youknowwhat out of the frame. In theory, this should lighten felt recoil considerably. It would at least spread out the felt recoil and convert the "snappyness" of a 9mm or .40 into more of a push. T...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

My reasoning is pretty simple; I find the other choice dishonest, untrustworthy, unconnected to reality. I find it fascinating that when I disliked Obama's POLICIES, I was a considered a racist by people on the left. All of the complaints I hear from the left concerning the current POTUS (and in th...

Re: EDC Gun Maintenance

I used to be a "clean it after every range session" person before I got into competitive shooting. My competition gun will routinely go 3k-6k rounds without so much as a field strip. I have even pushed that out to 10k without issues. A full disassemble and cleaning only happens once a year and I han...

Re: Thoughts on open carry

I don't open-carry for two primary, but not exclusive, reasons. I don't want to draw attention to the fact that I'm armed; and 2) I don't want to get shot by a BG if I'm sufficiently unlucky to be at a location where an armed robbery goes down. Yeah, I'm saying I don't want to be a target and it's ...

Re: Thoughts on open carry

I used to OC quite a bit, but since I got a car with really nice Nappa leather seats, I mostly CC now. I'll still occasionally OC if I'm going to be out and about in my truck.

Re: Should you draw your weapon to help a LEO?

Assisting a LEO who is losing a physical altercation is the one scenario where I would be most likely to deploy deadly force in the defense of a third party. It would be reasonable to believe that the assailant will use deadly force against the LEO (his own weapon). It's also the only scenario where...

Re: Oh the Irony

Yeah, but where the hack is Ted? Not very visible as far as I can tell. That metro-sexual Beto character is everywhere. SIgns all over, robocalls, text messages, and still no Ted. I question his desire for another term and wonder if he is about to throw Texas under the scooby van? Have you donated ...
