Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

There is no justice system. We have a legal system. No. It's called the Department of Justice, not the Department of Legal. I stand by my statement. If you think the Dept of Justice is about justice, you need to ask the Branch Davidians, Vicki Weaver at Ruby Ridge, Lavoy Finicum at Malheur, and all...

Re: Dicks destroys $5 million worth of weapons

The only non sequitur here is the assumption that Dicks or any corporations have a belief system. Dicks is a corporation. Corporations don't "believe" anything. The only responsibility corporations have is to maximize value for their shareholders. Chic-fil-a & Hobby Lobby are just two corporations ...

Re: Double-Action Only Semi-Automatic Pistol

I'm sort of split in the middle on DA/SA / Safety for self protection.... The following are my 3 main self protection weapons and why.. 1. Everyday Carry - S&W Shield w/safety.. Reason, I carry one in the pipe and NO safety HOWEVER... I never holster without the safety on... It just scares me to ho...

Re: Question

I've been pulled over a few times. I use the same procedure. I hand over my drivers license and my CHL/LTC when asked for my license. Sometimes I have been asked if I am carrying and where it is. I tell them where and they usually jokingly state "Don't show me yours and I won't show you mine", I've ...

Re: Watch Where You Walk

Off topic, but on one of the shows about Texas game wardens (it is a series), someone killed a rattlesnake beside their house and put the picture on line. Turned out, it was an endangered timber rattlesnake, and I think the fine was $1000. Just sayin' I remember that episode. They investigated to s...

Re: Sign Posting On A Collage Campus

I'm a graduate of LeTourneau. No signs means carry is allowed for non students. The only things off limits for non students are dorms (per policy but has no legal authority without signage) and collegian sporting events per legislative code. No signs means carry away these days, especially with the...

Re: going to AZ and NM

Once in GCNP, you can not carry in any building where federal employees may be in presence. Additionally, the North Rim is much less crowded and less commercial than the South Rim. Just sayin'.....have a nice trip. This is true, but on the other hand on the South Rim, they are more Handicap friendl...

Re: What Would Be The BEST 30-30 Lever Rifle

How well will a brass receiver hold up over time? Brass concerns me that it wouldn't hold up with lots of shooting. A Henry is an heirloom quality that I would expect to outlast me.

Democrats underestimate the number of Americans that are willing to water the Tree of Liberty when needed.
I believe you are correct, but I believe conservatives overestimate the numbers. and tend to overestimate their own willingness to step up and do any watering.

just as there are persons who should never have a gun, there are American persons who are not qualified to vote....at any age.
If it were up to most leftist, they wouldn't allow me either.

Re: Sheila Jackson Lee: House members will have to flood the Senate floor

Why wasn't she held accountable for her two lies under oath? I would imagine because it would be hard to prove she 'knowingly and willfully' stated something 'untrue'. She isn't the brightest person you'll ever meet. There is a difference in just being 'wrong' and knowingly attempting to deceive. T...

I was solidly conservative-leaning. Supported Nixon, unfortunately I was denied a right to vote because I wasn't 21 yet.

Just another reason I never liked Ann Richards. Her tenure was an embarrassing black mark on Texas history.
Maybe, but I hav always credited her with almost single handedly turning Texas from Blue to Red.

OK, she had a lot of help, but she gave Texas a pretty good push to the red side.
