Re: Proposed NY gun laws...

most NY cops can't pass at 90% And with what kind of rifle. Would it be a seperate test for someone buying a 12 gauge shotgun, an iron sighted 30-30 or a scoped 270 ore even a .22 LR . The same issue exist for handgun qualifications though, qualifying with something like an LCP isn't the same as qu...

Re: DUI with Class B

If someone had a DUI in Texas about 5 years ago which was a Class B misdemeanor. When, if at all, are they eligible to apply for their LTC? TIA! Except for family violence, misdemeanor convictions are disqualifying for five years. (This does not include multiple alcohol-related misdemeanor convicti...

Re: Poll. Will you be watching the Super Bowl and Why?

I have this favorite bowl that we serve beef stew, chili or matzah ball soup in. Is chili a soup? If I eat chili out of it is it still a souper bowl? How about gumbo? Is chili appropriate fare for any given Sunday? Yes, as long as you don't put beans in it! If you like beans in your chili that's fi...

No, Not a team or town I'm interested in and I'm still mad about this kneeling business. Does it really matter? I might watch the puppy bowl or maybe Columbo reruns.

Besides Charles at a loss as who else to vote for
any ideas
Not reccommending you vote this way, but just a thought:
A vote for one is more powerful than several votes for others. The other votes are all for folks running against Charles.

Re: IN: CHL wrestling with 4 year old son ND shoots both in head, son dies

It wasn't the fault of the tool, but of the tool carrying. If one insists on doing stoopid things, pain will ensue. There are no "safe" firearms, only safe users, and about 800 years of human history demonstrates this. I totally agree with this, and I know and understand that. This guy has no one t...

Re: IN: CHL wrestling with 4 year old son ND shoots both in head, son dies

My bet is that somehow a finger or something resembling a finger accidentally got in the trigger guard and pulled the trigger. That is exactly why I am a strong advocate of grip safety or manual safety. Pulling on the trigger alone could really happen accidentally, as witnessed in this tragic event...

This ole Army guy sure wishes he knew what all these abbreviations meant. CAP, CVNs, BBs, SSNs, and SSBNs are some kinda super-secret Naval code.

Re: England: the Royal Family

Every little thing about this family gets intense scrutiny. Why does anyone care about the royal family? Why care about what they think or who they are screwing around with? Nothing but a bunch of spoiled brats that live meaningless lives who have no official government powers. I'm more interested i...

Re: Running weapon serial # during a traffic stop?

I would have serious concerns about handing my Para 1911 cocked and locked to anybody that is not familiar with the design! Although I wouldn't feel happy about it, I wouldn't be as concerned about my Bretta PX4 SC while it was holstered. Manual safety DA while hammer down. I suppose a striker fire...

Re: Running weapon serial # during a traffic stop?

1) has anyone encountered this in any other jurisdictions in TX 2) is this lawful? 3) if not, do we have any right to refuse? 4) am I being paranoid or does this seem like a great way to slowly build up a database of firearms in the state? 1) Nope, I've been asked to disarm, but never had them run ...

Houston’s 13 murder this year happened today at Bellaire High School.
Bellaire isn't Houston.
