Clearly Kyle should have the suit dismissed... however

Honestly its hard to argue there wasn't a stand down on the part of authorities. Sue the FBI, as they had one or more drones overhead monitoring.... or were the FBI also serving as Command-and-control over the riot??? FOIA them early and often... They are hiding a lot.

Interestingly, Kyle just came up in a phone call with a Very Democrat friend. She called to point to the sentence handed down to truck driver Rogel Aguilera-Mederos for the April 2019 wreck that killed four people in Colorado. She said I was completely mistaken. It was nothing but an accident; the brakes failed. And as proof she said that's why an online petition to release Aguilera-Mederos has over 3 million signatures. But that there had been videos of Rittenhouse shooting those men. That the entire justice system is rigged and our country is in rapid decline all thanks to conservatives.

I made my second mistake and asked her if she actually had any details about the two cases, had followed the trials or knew the specific charges and verdicts.

To her credit, she came clean and said that (in not so many words; I'm paraphrasing) to her, facts don't matter. That (like seemingly all ardent leftists) it's what she knows that counts. And she knows a 26 man in Colorado who has skin that's brown was sentenced to 110 years just because the brakes on his truck failed.

My third mistake was a quick Google. "Actually," I said, "at trial the jury found Aguilera-Mederos guilty of 4 counts of vehicular homicide, 6 counts of first-degree assault, 10 counts of attempted first-degree assault, 4 counts of careless driving causing death, 2 counts of vehicular assault and 1 count of reckless driving. The DA's office says that they proposed plea deals to him, but that he declined to consider any alternative other than what would amount to a Class C Misdemeanor in Texas, basically a traffic citation. There's no way the charges could even have been brought, much less the jury find him guilty on all counts, if the crash was a result of accidental, mechanical failure.

"It seems," I said, "that the big furor over the sentence has to do with Colorado legislation that's been on the books for almost 30 years, a minimum-mandatory sentence provision for certain violent crimes. So the penalty ruling looks like it was largely out of the judge's hands, and Colorado law says the affected convictions have to be subsequent, the time can't be served consecutively. That's why the very long sentence."

"So tell me why Rittenhouse got away with murder without so much as a wrist-slap, and he used an assault rifle?!"

"Well, first, it wasn't an assault rifle. And second, the jury found him not guilty on all charges. He didn't 'get away' with anything. He was found not guilty, and rightly so. I followed that trial closely."

The call ended, but before she hung up she said something about my close-mindedness being tragic and that I'm incapable of applying logic to the humanity of situations. I found the "applying logic" part pretty humorous, but I didn't call her back to tell her that. She probably won't speak to me for a couple of weeks anyway. Oh well.

Clearly the students are intolerant. In the interests of providing an inclusive environment I believe these hateful, intolerant, fractious students have no place at an institution of higher learning. ;-)

My cousin found and posted that a couple days ago. It is amazing how none of that information is shared even to this day by the MSM. Amazing is the wrong word. Infuriating better describes it. It seems people are all getting their information from the same place and it is regurgitated over and over again with the little details that matter left out.
I gave up watching the legacy media years ago. I found watching it I knew less than when I started. It exists for the purpose of Manufacturing Consent. I can still catch Tucker Carlson on youtube, who is certainly worth watching.

When Governments Fail
John Locke wrote that people, by their very nature, are free and equal – that they voluntarily transfer some of their rights via a social contract to a government – mostly to protect them from violence, so that they may enjoy their freedoms and their lives. Locke postulated that governments exist by the consent of the people in order to protect the rights of the people, and therefore, governments that fail to do so can be resisted and replaced with new governments.
The rioting caused so much destruction in Kenosha because of a stand down. The Wisconsin Governor failed to send the National Guard. The FBI monitored the situation with their drone(s) and only pursued Kyle Rittenhouse... not the criminals. Besides the ones shot by Kyle, the people that organized and conducted the rioting and destruction were not held accountable. The Wisconsin Governor failed in his fundamental duties. The Local DA failed in his fundamental duties. The FBI failed in their fundamental duties. They should all be out of a job.

In the midst of that failure a handful of citizens, including a 17 year old stood up to protect their community. The didn't appear to have training, funding, or government issued firearms, ammunition or costumes. They did what they could with what they had... which was more than State, local or federal authorities had the backbone for.

I refuse to condemn them for standing up for their community.

This was written in 1776:

Revolver’s Case For Disbarring Binger
The entire political show trial of Kyle Rittenhouse has been a disgrace and a sham. The Rittenhouse self-defense case never should have been brought to trial in the first place. It was a travesty of justice that charges were even filed. Many have forgotten that the crazed, partisan Democrat Kenosha District Attorneys office rushed to file charges just two days after the shooting, before any sort of detailed investigation could be completed. The prosecution shamefully lied and slandered Kyle Rittenhouse before the trial even started. They then did so again, endlessly, at trial.

It goes without saying that there is a mile-long list of elected officials, attorneys, and other assorted public figures who must pay a price for the tawdry and disgusting railroading of the heroic 17-year-old “Kenosha kid” who singlehandedly stopped devastating looting and riots in their track with a few shots from his trusty AR-15. And the first shameful partisan political liar on that list goes by the name of Thomas Binger.
A prosecutor is not supposed to be an attack dog for the state, pursuing every argument no matter how fringe. A prosecutor must be a neutral seeker of justice. It is a gross ethical violation for a prosecutor to pursue a defendant he suspects or knows to be innocent.

It looked to me like every shot Kyle took was point shooting. The rifle displayed in court had no sights. At some point previously the rifle apparently had a low dollar sight on it... I don't know why the sight was removed.

The New York Times Held Back Story On Kenosha Riot Damage Until After 2020 Election
following the August 2020 police shooting of Jacob Blake - where during just one evening of 'protests,' the Kenosha Fire Department responded to 37 fires, multiple shootings, assaults, and other acts of vandalism.

...in Kenosha, more than 35 small businesses were destroyed, and around 80 were damaged, according to the city’s business association. Almost all are locally owned and many are underinsured or struggling to manage.

...interviewing several affected small business owners who conveyed their "broadly felt" pain as a result of the riots - with much of the damage being committed by "white protesters destroying property in the name of Black Lives," according to a local shop owner. "It’s some blue-haired, latte-drinking hippie in Seattle coming here to raise hell while they go home to their nice beds," said the victim, adding "They don't care about any of us."

Not a good look for the racial justice movement, or Democrats in general who might be forced to address an uncomfortable truth on their side of the aisle right before an election.

The Times gave Bowles the runaround as to why they didn't run the piece when she filed it - which we can only assume was meant to help Biden win. Read below for her first-hand account.

...If you lived in those neighborhoods on fire, you were not supposed to get an extinguisher. The proper response — the only acceptable response — was to see the brick and mortar torn down, to watch the fires burn and to say: thank you.
To the Kenosha DA, FBI, and other "authorities" who enabled all this, and the NYT who covered it up... the words I have for you are not compliant with the Forum Rules.
