Re: Summertime clothing options for CC

I've been using this http://pistolwear.com/holsters.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for several months. I like it well, although I wish I had got the size smaller than the largest size for my Glock 19/23. The largest is for 1911s and up. It works with a smaller pistol but the smal...

Re: Carrying Concealed on a Military base in Oklahoma

Each installation is slightly different depending on what the commander whats. Outright prohibitions are impossible though. Federal law in Title 10 USC requires that all rifle ranges paid for with government funds be open to the public.

Re: LEOSA Not An Exemption to GFSZA?

LEOSA is no protection from the GFSZA. The only defense is a CCW issued by the state the school is in, or if that state recognizes you as an LEO and exempts LEOs who are not carrying in the performance of their duties.

A "premesis" refers to a building as far as federal law is concerned.

I oppose open carry for one reason--timing. This is not the congress and president that we want to provoke to action on guns.

Re: Abilene: Any place to store my gun?

The Grand jury is controlled by the Prosecutor. It is up to the prosecutor who gets to be heard, and who is not allowed to get heard. It may work that way in practice in a lot of places, but only because often the prosecutor is the only one who routinely presents information to the grand jury. That...

Re: Going to Oklahoma For The First Time With CHL

The law in Oklahoma explicitly exempts parking lots and places for vehicle use from places that are posted. Disarmament signs apply only to premises--within structures--with the exception of school campuses. Even then, permit holders can store their guns in their vehicles while parked in college and...

Re: Abilene: Any place to store my gun?

Well, too bad. The law is the law regardless of who likes it. It should take about one incident to correct the situation.

Have you notified the Texas NRA affiliate of the situation?

Re: Going to Oklahoma For The First Time With CHL

You can carry all the handguns you want in Oklahoma as long as they are .45 cal. or smaller.

Don't worry about Oklahoma. It's friendlier to CCW than Texas. In Oklahoma you won't see all those stupid signs everywhere and if you do, they don't apply to the parking lot.
