Re: W.O.W. Classic

I am definitely getting old. I have no idea what philip964 just said. I hit translate but nothing. :iagree: That game rocks. Is it like the original? They play it with rocks? :smilelol5: Oh... OK... I have played that game before. We would hit them with sticks. Sticks, that reminds me of ...

Re: Not The Whole Book-But Should Be Enough

The Juror who says one thing in Voir Dire and says something else during deliberation can be charged and convicted of perjury. Perjury is a felony. If the judge so wishes that same juror can also be charged with contempt of court.

Re: TX: Pastor and wife shoot home invader

This sounds familiar -- it happened back in May -- but I don't see it in this forum, so here goes: https://abcnews.go.com/US/pastor-wife-shoot-kill-alleged-burglar-houston-home/story?id=62847146 Per HPD: "A preliminary investigation revealed the residents were asleep in their bed when they were awa...

Re: FWPD Sgt Doesn't know LTC law

I received this reply from the reporter of the original story: "I did hear back from Sgt. Daniels and he apologized for the incorrect information. We ran a correction in print and corrected the story online. Thanks for pointing out the error." A small win. May I respectfully suggest a message to th...

Re: Speeding in a School Zone

Many years ago, when I was writing speeding tickets, I did not cut any slack in school Zones.

I Wrote one to a member of my Masonic lodge, who was also a Houston Firefighter.

Re: Wife Sick with Cancer.

I still having one ruff day a week. I cleaned out her side of the Bathroom last week and gave away over 200 bucks or Mary Kay and Esta Lauder stuff. It will probably hit you at odd times from now on. The best I can say is the interval increases and the pain decreases. The only question on each is h...

US Army Expert is a much higher standard than the LTC (70%) or even DPS (90%) standards.
I wasn't shooting to my full potential when I did it about 1.5 years ago.

I shot 94.8%. I probably should have shot 100/30X, give or take a bit.

Re: AZ: 19 Y.O. Shoots Carjacker with Legally Carried Firearm

Grayling: In Texas, they CAN carry in their vehicle legally. I believe the reason that they were not granted the "privilege" to carry on their person in the general public is because some states would not honor a Texas LTC as a result. This right here. I used to go deer and dove hunting with my stu...

Re: How To Address a Game Warden?

I'm just kind and respectful, but I'm not a very formal guy. On the otherside of the coin, I've never been addressed as Taxpayer Rich by any government employee before. It would be nice to be shown a little respect for all of my hard work too. Every police officer I've had contact with in an offici...

Re: Topographical maps

:iagree: I have a few, that I have had for a while. I keep one in my get home bag, showing the area, between where I work, and live. I used to carry two, due to distance. I need to get more, but like you I find them overpriced. Which to me makes little sense with satellite mapping technology, almos...
