Re: Report: More Than 1,700 Red Flag Orders in 2018

I've got so many concerns about what seem like such a reasonable idea at a glance, that I can't even list them all. - That's a lot of Red Flag Orders. Is the pace continuing? - There doesn't seem to be a judge / trial involved. - Someone could be "Red Flagged" by a person that does simply doesn't li...

Re: Watching the Expanse on Netflix

I've been a science fiction fan for more than 50 years. The Expanse is based on books. The whole family has read the books and watched the series. We enjoyed.

That's the way I answer the phone from a private or unknown number:

It's finally done...
but there is blood everywhere!

Congratulations on beginning the process to become an American Citizen.

New York law is an open invitation to home invaders

https://nypost.com/2019/01/21/new-york-law-is-an-open-invitation-to-home-invaders/ There is a reason homeowners can rarely afford to dispense mercy on an overnight invader: Criminal intruders tend to be the dangerous type. What homeowners don’t expect are law enforcers and prosecutors going after t...

Re: Missouri man pulls fast one at gun buyback

so...
he sold his home made firearms at a gun buy back?

I knew that it was legal to make your own firearm but I thought it was illegal to sell them or even to give them away.

It sound like a funny story but I wouldn't take that risk for $300.

Re: Shooting at Car Thieves

To me this is just a simple math problem that gun owners should do in the sober light of day. I have car insurance with a $1000 deductible. My estimate of legal fees for stopping a bad guy doing a bad thing is "the price of a car". (The 'better' the shoot, the cheaper the car.) If I caught someone t...

Re: Special Prosecutor / crooked lawyer?

I watched too much news last night. I am pretty frustrated with a Prosecutor forcing a Lawyer to divulge privileged information about their client(s). I've never asked one of my lawyers to 'fix' a confideniaity issue with a porn star or playboy model (THAT-IS-MY-STORY-AND-I-AM-STICKING-TO-IT) but if...

Re: Self driving vehicles creep me out. How will feds mandate purchases?

I have a 2014 Nissan with a gadget that squawks at me when I stray from my lane. Sounds good on paper but... Every morning taking I610 to work, it squawks when drive over the sandblasted lane markers near the galleria I've had it squawk when I drove away from the sunrise. I guess the sensor is in th...

Special Prosecutor / crooked lawyer?

Muller / Cohen I don't understand How do you get legal advice? Do you have to investigate your lawyer before you ask for advice? To make sure they haven't committed any felonies that can be used as leverage against them so the prosecutor can turn them against you? Do you have to use key phrases at t...

Trial Balloons A few years ago they sent up a trial balloon to force convert all IRA and other retirement accounts into government bonds. It did not go over well. The folks with retirement accounts hated the idea. Oh, I guess stock brokers did too. In the last couple of years they sent up trial ball...

It should be at least 3 to 4 weeks for the holster to arrive.

Re: owb holster for 1911

I finally pulled the trigger on the The Texas Short Stroke from Tucker & Byrd

https://www.tuckerandbyrd.com

It has a sweat shield, FBI Cant, and is made in Texas. All nice features.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
