Re: Concealed Carry On Campus Forum at TX State
It's extremely important that we attend these type of events and present honest and intelligent arguments supporting concealed campus carry. That being said, it sure is hard to sit through some of the anti-gun babble that always tends to show up at these type of forums. I guess the important thing i...

Re: Gun Shows - and 30.06
Now for my clarification, how does city owned translate to government owned? Are city government buildings subject to the same rules as state government buildings?

Re: Going through the process...
GA, I ended up going through Mike with Talon CHL. His class time just worked out better for me, and he's got a great price as well. I've only been over to Patriot once, but I'll have to go shooting sometime. Most of my shooting is down out on the family farm about 45 miles north of Lubbock. I don't ...

Re: Going through the process...
I think I did alright. Scored 250/250 on the qualifying (with a 3" 1911--Springfield EMP) and missed one on the written exam. :grumble . I enjoyed the class, though it was a long 12 hour haul. Now it's just the wait as I sent everything in this week and got my prints done. We will see how fast ...

Re: Getting a haircut
Well, it may be technically illegal OC, but it sounds like a crock of stinky brown to me. I guess it just comes down to how much I want to become case law or not, huh ;-) . As was previously suggested, a whole lot of what-ifs would have to occur for anything to ever come of it. Personally, I would h...

Re: November 2010 Applications
I just joined the November waiting list as well. I took my CHL last weekend. Missed one on the exam but scored 250/250 on the qualifying with a 3" barrel 1911 (Springfield EMP, 9mm) :cheers2: . Got to keep the target and have it rolled up on the shelf  . I got my prints today at L1 and th...

Application Question: Signed Photo's & Application Receipt?
Hello, everyone. Took the CHL class today (thanks, Mike!), and I'm getting my packet put together to send (FAST prints next week, CHL-100, photo's, and photo-holder with signature). I have a couple of questions. This is the message I have from DPS after the online application along with the barcode:...

See my previous post, section (11). Unless you're talking about something else?

Re: Life Jacket Locking Sleeve for car mounting
I also have the case the annoyed man mentioned. It's cable is secured around my passenger seat frame, and the case slides nicely under the seat completely out of view. I can reach it from the driver's seat to store my firearm if I have to remove it, and with the mild clutter in my floorboard, it wou...

Re: Double Edge skinner for carry?
Here's the law: (6) “Illegal Knife” means a: (A) knife with a blade over five and one half inches; Rainer v. State, 763 S.W.2d 615 (Tex. App.-Eastland 1989, pet. ref’d) To determine length, measure entire length of blade past handle, not just the sharpened portion of the blade. Same result in McMurr...

Going through the process...
I'm currently in the middle of the process of applying for my CHL (new license). So far, I have applied online and payed the state fee. I got my passport photos today. I have my CHL class on Saturday, and I'll be getting my FAST prints done next week. Obviously I have to send in my class info, photo...
