UT-Austin | Assault near campus

This afternoon the Austin Police Department (APD) notified UTPD that they are investigating an assault that occurred at approximately 2 a.m. today near 25th and Pearl Street.

The female student described her attacker as a male in dark clothing. If you have information you believe will help the investigation or have questions about this case, please contact APD 311 and reference case number 2015-640148.

This incident serves as a reminder that you should always try to walk with friends (not alone) and be aware of your surroundings. Please report suspicious activity by calling 911 or UTPD at 512-471-4441. Be safe.
