Re: "Check-Mate" 1911 magazines ...

Good stuff. You might want to give some consideration to your ammunition and platform choice. Magazine feed lips have been tweeked by just about everyone and their cousin's third spouse and next door neighbors dog groomer to release the loaded round sooner or later in the feed cycle. Check Mate off...

Thanks a bunch, it's a help!

These are advertised in the Dillon Blue Press.

Does anyone know anything about them or have any experience with them? :headscratch

Looking For Used Small Truck

We are in the market for a used small truck, somthing on the order of an S-10 (that size, not necessarily the make). We'd consider something a bit larger depending on the price. If anyone in the Friendswood/Pearland/Alvin/League City area has one, I'd appreciate a PM. We're looking for something in ...

Kay Bailey Hutchison, FYI, FWIW

This has nothing to do with shooting, but I thought I'd share it with anyone who might find it of interest. I recently sent e-mails to both Texas Senators, Cornyn and Hutchison. I made a suggestion about Social Security stuff. The specifics are not important. A couple days later (yesterday) I got a ...

NRA Training Counselor Workshop

As some of you know, I am an NRA Training Counselor. I am trying to put together enough people to have the NRA do a Training Counselor Workshop at PSC in Friendswood some time in the first half of 2011. I can't say for sure when it will be, because the NRA will have to schedule someone from their st...

Re: TexasCHLforum Day at PSC - Registration begins 9/30/10

I was under the impression that we were all supposed to sign up for the General Attendance thingie. That is correct. Everyone who attends needs to sign up for general attendance, even if you are also signing up for seminars and clinics. If you don't sign up for general attendance, we won't have lun...

I've been a USCCA member for several years. I believe Tim's e-mails have slowed down, but they still appear. Mostly, for me, it's the news letter, with a fair number of "special" items. I just treat it like any advertisements, give a quick look and decide whether it's worth pursuing. If no...

Re: TexasCHLforum Day at PSC - Registration begins 9/30/10

For anyone interested in Forum Day: Don't think that you are required to sign up for anything. If the seminars/clinics/mini-clinics get full, just register for General Attendance, so we know how many people for lunch, and come have some fun. :clapping: There will be open shooting including but not ...
