Maybe bt in the summer is really good training for a situation in the heat.

Tiger Valley is having a pistol trigger control class next Tue-Jul-10 from 6:30-9pm at Elm Fork. It costs $65 and you'll need 200rds and a holster. I took that class this earlier this year, but I am going again as a course refresher and to practice with my CHL setup. I highly encourage these classes -- they are inexpensive and short, but you'll come out learning new things.

I went to their pistol shooting under stress class a couple of weeks ago and some of the drills we did that night you would not be able to do at any gun range (even Elm Fork tac bay).
interesting, i had been looking on both elmfork and tiger valleys site recently for some of these classes and saw nothing, sadly i wont be able to get to this one.

BSB
So no steel/aluminum case, no semi-wadcutters (assuming no .22LR since that's exposed lead), and no 5.7x28 ammo. Nice! If they keep this up, then the only thing they'll allow is spitballs.
They allow 22lr on the pistol range without a problem.
Ive heard them explain to people why they dont allow steel/aluminum case. They claim they are dangerous and pieces of the metal can fly downrange, etc. but the real reason is they cant resell the cases.

The indoor firing line is heated/cooled though; gonna have to disagree w/ a few people on that one. I do credit them, for taking care of that. I won't bash just for the sake of bashing something.
When was the last time you were there in the summer? It DEFINITELY isn't cooled. Even spoke to them about it. They didn't care. (I said "It's pretty hot back there...", their response was, "And it's gonna get hotter!") This was this last summer.

They may have some space heaters, but the last time I was there when it was cold outside, they weren't using them (last winter). Had to quit when I started to shiver.
I was there today, they had some heaters blowing down onto the lanes, not sure if this is new or not. Was fairly comfortable.
I wont go there in the summer anymore though i'm tired of dripping sweat when i'm done. I'd rather go outdoor if im going to be in heat

Went to elm fork on a 100deg day mid afternoon and was more comfortable since the bays are covered for shade and there was a breeze.

only benefits i see to indoors now is if the weather is bad, or if you just don't want to wait for cease fire.
Mainly I go to Bullettrap when i want to browse whats for sale or test fire some things.

If I had a dpc membership i'd probably never go anywhere else.
I have a DPC membership, and they won't let me shoot my .308 rifles there.

Consequently, I also shoot at Elm Fork. However, I am also in the process of tracking down a possibly available share at the Grand Prairie Gun Club. They have a 200 yard rifle range.

I don't own any rifles yet, but i've noticed a lot of ranges put bigger restrictions on rifles and rifle ammo.
