I had a good time too. The scenarios were challenging and fun. ElGato, I'm right there with you on the procedurals. I had two just on reloads and some really bad shooting on stage 1  Thank you to all the SO's who work tirelessly........ even in the rain! It was nice seeing everyone. Hope to se...

I had a great time shooting and learning with everyone in this class.

I highly recommend the PPIH and the PPOH classes to anyone who carries concealed.

Great Job!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the range!

Thanks,
Eric

I've shot several thousand rounds of the Monarch 9mm 115gr brass case bullets. I've haven't had a single problem with the ammo. Well, except that a month ago it was $5.86 per box and last week it was $6.99 per box. This was with a SigPro and a S&W M&P. Try using the brass case and see if it works be...

Hey GH, Great Scenarios! It was a fun match. There were so many skills involved it could be used as a classifier. Maybe next time you could move those pesky nt's a little farther away from the threat targets.  I liked the idea of moving the NT around on stage 1 and the transition of th...

I had a great time too at Thunder. 9 challenging scenarios. Oddly, the carbine stage was one of my best for the day. It was the close up stuff that gave me trouble. :???: Those long shots really make you slow down to get good hits. It was nice to visit with everyone and got to meet some new folks. G...

Wow, two pages! Relax everyone. I don't really have an issue with the 9mm. I know folks who carry a .32 and a .22 and feel perfectly comfortable. I just thought it was an amazing story. I remember seeing a show on tv, not csi, I think it was called Detectives. not sure though. A guy went to a hotel ...

I would never be, Certain, of anything. Including the one shot stop. Just because someone takes a shot to the spine doesn't mean its over. This guy did his part. Which is the reason I wonder what the gun and ammo combo was. If he was using 124gr+p Gold Dots, Then I would be a little concerned. Don't...

9mm effectivness

I was pretty well set to transition from 40s&w to 9mm for carry, but I just read this and now question the effectivness of the 9mm round. Since the guy was a competition shooter I just wonder if he had some light loads. I can't imagine that factory ammo would be so weak. I wonder what his gun and am...

For anyone interested in joining the Galveston Rifle and Pistol Club, now would be the best time since the memberships run January to December. I don't think they pro-rate as the months go by. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to show you around the place. I'm in Galveston 5 days a week and ...

+1 on the Sig P239. It is my normal carry. It is available in 9mm, .357sig, and .40s&w. It is a single stack, so it is fairly flat and very concealable. The 9mm is 8+1 and the 357Sig and .40s&w are 7+1. It comes either da/sa or the new DAK trigger system which is a constant dao pull of around 7lbs. ...

Wierd things seem to happen to me too at Thunder. At one match, when I dropped an empty mag, it stood straight up on the ground. It happened three times if I recall at the same match. I don't shoot very often at Thunder. It has never happened at any of the matches at PSC.

Hmmmm
