So....What's the verdict about The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston? It is a university, a hospital, and houses TDCJ inmates not only in the TDCJ hospital but at times in the main towers. Teaching takes place in nearly every patient room and doctor's office in the entire place. Facult...

Hey SteyrM40, It was a pleasure to shoot with you! Don't worry too much about the Stages 1 & 2, You did great! Just remember to take your time. Take 5 minutes if you need to, to complete a stage. For now just concentrate on making the shots. You will be more satisfied when you look at the scores whe...

This is very sad indeed. True we don't know all of the facts, But justified or not, when you decide you are going to kick in someone's door you should reasonably expect to get shot at. I don't know if Granny is who they were looking for, but Granny is who they got. Hopefully we will get all of the f...

Just saw at the gun show this past weekend in Pasadena, Bersa .380 NIB, for $195. I think it was at AJC. Seemed like a pretty good price.

I think there is going to be another one at Pasadena on Dec. 16-17.

The P229's are definately worth the price. I had one that I was planning on transitioning to from a P239. It is a two tone w/night sights. The main reason I was planning on switching is that it holds 12+1 .357sig. However, my wife liked it so much she took it from me  and is now her carry gun...

I say to anyone who wants to shoot IDPA or any pistol competition, Just come out and shoot. I was nervous about attending my first IDPA match back in Dec. '04. My thoughts were that my level of skill would not be enough and that I would not be accepted. However nothing was further from the truth! I ...

just curious, what kind of ammo were you shooting and how many were you able to shoot through it? And did it act up with both mags?

Hopefully the Co will pay for return shipping.

I'm no expert either, just curious.

I usually try to make it to the range at least twice a month or more, but the last few months it just hasn't worked out that way. When I get to go, I will do a variety of drills. Moving left and right, forward and back. Since I shoot Sigs, I practice first shot speed and accuracy because the first p...

I know that the Galveston Range is not the PSC. And many of us factor in issues when it comes to how much we shoot and how often. Things such as distance to the range and the cost of gas. If Someone can shoot once or even twice a week, that's better and more fun than waiting for maybe once a month o...
