Re: Show your DIY Ideas and Projects

Made me a gun vise this weekend to go with my new 783, granted it's not finished. Not sure what exactly what to do with the blue batwing yet. I need to wrap it in felt still Nice gun vice! Do you also have the blue material on the butt-stock clamps? Perhaps an enhancement: cut a groove in the base ...

Re: How Often Do you Clean Your Primary Carry Handgun

After every trip to the range and approximately monthly there after. Not because it's especially dirty, I just don't take it out of the holster much. But when I do I just want to fondle it and feel all it's hard steal, smooth grooves, powerful edges and lavish in it's intoxicating scent as I rub oil...

Re: Stop Gun Violence - PSA

Wow! Single stories like this are like reading the negative image of the NRA's "armed citizen". Taking the high road on this one.

Isn't freedom of speech in America a great thing, it gives everyone with a voice and creativity the ability to be heard. Yours and mine included! :clapping:

Re: School Christmas Party

Given the shades of gray in the law and not wanting to be a test case, I chose to find the nearest parking spot to the front door (I got lucky) and locked my sidearm in the car. As it turned out, there was very little mingling and the movie started shortly after everyone showed up and was served. Pr...

Let's really wait for some facts. It may be nothing near to that limb you're on, right?

Thank you for the reprimand. That's what I love about this forum, some are so supportive and quick to point out ones errant musings. :grumble

Re: School Christmas Party

There are mixed ideas on whether a school sponsored function off campus is off limits. Some feel that unless it is on school property, then it would not be off limits. HOWEVER, I personally would not want to be the test case since it is sponsored by the school and you might have to spend a lot of m...

School Christmas Party

I think I know the answer but want some additional input/clarification. Tonight is my wife's Christmas Party for the junior high school teachers. The party IS NOT on school premises but is being held at a dinner/movie theater. However, the event is being paid for by the school. Is this a legal carry...

Re: TV Meteorologist Shot Outside of Station

I certainly don't want to jump to any conclusions, but..... Given the information that has already been released, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest there might be a 3rd party involved here....aka: mistress, girlfriend, wife, ex-wife, etc. Of course we'll wait for further details to emer...

officers fired two shots at the heifer because it posed a safety risk
Also, Al Sharpton and the CLU (Cows Liberty Union) might get involved because of this obvious slur and derogatory comment. "rlol"

Re: Sandy Hook Folks Sueing Bushmaster

I caught this story on the midday news on the day it was announced. In paraphrase......The newscaster asked the lawyer for the plaintiffs, "You do realize that ownership of a weapon, be it handgun or rifle, is protected by the 2ndA, right?" His response, "So what, that doesn't matter in this case, s...

I also found that transitioning to the "relaxed fit" variety of pants helps as well.

I'd thought I'd just lose a few pounds to make up the difference, but I think the pants got wind of the idea and shrank in a proportional fashion! :smilelol5:
