Re: Board Liberals, where are you?

It occurs to me that if these so called weapons of war have no place on American streets then they need to be taken away from the police as well. America is not a battlefield, nor has the Federal government officially designated it so. Let the police go back to revolvers and double barrel shotguns....

CHL instructor recommendations in West Houston / Katy area?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good CHL instructor in the West Houston / Katy area? My wife and I took ours in San Antonio, so we don't know the ones locally, and we welcome recommendations. A friend of ours is now interested, and I'd like to help him find a good instructor in the area. Tha...

Re: Well Here We Go

President Obama just stated that he will use " all the power of his office" to change the laws. I just watched his address to the nation. It seems that he's going to do whatever he can to restrict our 2A freedoms. He has never shown much regard for our constitution, so who knows how far he'll go? h...

Re: Legality of 30:06 Signs

(c) a document that contains the 30.06 language does not need 1" letters and doesn't need to be bilingual. Documents include a lease, handbook, admission ticket, etc. Thanks for the clarification. I knew about the handbook (but in my mind I was thinking employee handbook, so I left it out of this e...

No.
:iagree:

I'm more observant about others possibly printing, but that's about it.

Re: Legality of 30:06 Signs

I say notified because A) I read/saw the signs that are posted on all entrances outside B) Because we discussed 30:06 signs she has hanging up. Where they came from and that they weren't to code. The manager said she called the city and that is what they told her however, I was not told or given no...

Re: NRA Permit Slide Holster

Bad idea: how do you hand over your CHL - as required - to a peace officer when asked for ID? Flash that ID holster with gun in it and you're likely to be staring down the barrel of Officer Friendly's duty weapon. :iagree: My thoughts exactly. The last thing you want to do in front of the LEO is re...

Re: One child reportedly dead after gunman opened fire

Holy cow - I just landed after a 10-hour flight from Europe, and this is the first thing I saw on my phone. My own daughter is that age, and I have a complete knot in my stomach right now thinking about the possibility that it could happen in her school. I'm going to be on the phone with my represen...

Florida nears 1 million permits for concealed weapons

The number of active concealed weapons licenses in Florida, already home to more owners of such registered weapons than any other U.S. state, is expected to reach the 1 million mark next week, a state official said on Wednesday. "The number of gun owners is up and crime is down," Hammer said. "Crim...

Re: First time with a "full size" gun

Congrats on the upgrade, and on the early Christmas present. When I ride my bike, I use a Remora holster for my Glock 36, and it works great. I also sometimes use it for short trips to the grocery, etc, or for carry around the house. Most of the time, I use a 'real' holster, and I do prefer the snug...

Re: The safety was off

I'll be changing from my carry piece to a new Sig2022 around Christmastime. I have some permanent nerve damage in my strong side thumb, so one of the biggest decision criteria I had when selecting this new ECP was the lack of a safety - I don't think I would be able to work one in a pinch because I ...
