Re: Total Shooting Sports

I went to TSS a few weeks ago with my dad and his sister. Very nice facility in my opinion. Range fees are reasonable compared to what I've been paying at other local ranges. We went on a Saturday and had maybe a 10 minute wait for a lane. I would definitely go again. Awesome. That's what I was loo...

Total Shooting Sports

Either my search skills are failing me or there just isn't anything on here about the new range in NRH. Anyone shoot there yet? I typically shoot at Shoot Smart in Grand Prairie but want to try places in the north half of the county since I'm now spending all my time north of 114. I know Shoot Smart...

Now that's cool. I now need to make a trip to Vermont someday. Luckily I don't have to deal with international borders but that's very interesting.

Re: Property straddles state line

Make sure you're standing on the right side when you shoot. Seriously though, if it were me I'd take a defensive position in the house and call police for someone trespassing in the backyard. If they cross the line and try to enter the house all bets are off. The real question is which police depar...

Re: Property straddles state line

From a title standpoint, yes. Virginia collects taxes on the piece of land with the house and Maryland collects taxes on the back yard. 2 separate legals combined on the deed. I was just curious since the house will have a Virginia address, would you have issues say with a self defense situation in ...

Property straddles state line

My day job has me waist deep in property legal descriptions, title policies, etc all over the country. I am looking at a property that is in 2 states. It got me thinking, and it might be a crazy question, but how would gun ownership work if your house was sitting pretty in Virginia or WV but your po...

Re: Levi's CEO: Please don't bring guns into our stores

I work near one of Levi's corporate offices and they only have 30.07 on their doors. I'll check in a week or so to see if they add 30.06.

Re: Bass Pro buying Cabela's

Well that just sucks. I live right down the street from Cabela's. I hope they don't change anything and jack up prices. Bass Pro is a complete joke when it comes to their pricing. I haven't been to Dick's since they bought Galyan's many moons ago because they pulled handguns off the shelves and just...

Good to know. I eat at that one semi-regularly but have always CC'd.

Re: A Ham Radio Sub-Forum?

There is a great linked repeater system in DFW called NCTC North Central Texas Connection that is also sometimes linked with Freedom Link Group that provides coverage west to near Abilene through DFW and out to east and northeast Texas and into Arkansas and Louisiana. We use NCTC a lot at the weathe...

Re: Johnson Space Center

Yeah, I realize now that I should have titled this Space Center Houston instead of JSC. I apologize for any confusion. This leg of the trip I'm taking was very last minute so I was rushing to get info.

Thanks everyone for all of the info.

Sounds that way to me too. I'm sure not going to make the whole trip unarmed.

Re: Johnson Space Center

If it's owned by a non profit, I would think you would be fine with it in your car. If they don't have signs, you should be fine to carry inside, website notwithstanding. If it were federal government owned, it certainly couldn't be considered not-for-profit (humor). There have been some thr...

Johnson Space Center

I might be going to Johnson Space Center this week for the tour and need to know if I can have a pistol in my car in parking lot. Their website FAQ says " not permitted in the facility" but doesn't say entire premises. It looks to be owned by a non-profit. I don't want to be on the wrong side of a f...

Re: Shots fired at BLM protest in Dallas

I agree with the others. He declared he wanted to kill white people and white cops. Murdered 5 of them. Wounded 7 others plus some citizens got injured. They negotiated until they ran out of options. I would rest just fine if I pushed the button.
