Re: Nathan Deckinga for Leander ISD school board place 2

The spring election season is almost upon us and my race is starting to heat up. I would be most appreciative for anyone here who would put a sign in their yard, donate to my campaign, or invite me to gatherings to meet the voters. This is a call for help - the election is just over 2 months away an...

Re: Gamer keyboards?

Most of the keyboards that have extra buttons are programmable via the driver package - gamer ones or not. But I don't think you could have button xyz mean alt+ctrl+L in one application and alt+tab in another. It would always need to be set to just one "macro".

Re: 51% sign in a non 51% business

The controlling point is the TABC license. If TABC calls them a 51% place then they are - but that is NOT determined by those signs. Those signs are helpful, but they are not the requirement. Check the TABC license and if it says =Red, then it is a 51% place and you need to leave. If it says =Blue, ...

Re: Recommended CHL Class in Austin Area?

I just signed up for the CAPS CHL class scheduled for March 14th. My cousin in law took their class this past Sunday and had nothing but great things to say about it. I am looking forward to it. I was in that class this past Sunday. It was pretty good, but the level of in-depth discussion here is m...

Re: Tips on learning netware and advanced networking

wow - there is someone who still uses Netware? Sorry, I can't help you with Novel much, but you would be well served by learning pretty much any Unix or Linux flavor out there as that is the basis for Netware and things will behave quite similar.

Re: Wrong sign @ Wing Stop

I apologize if this has been answered before, but how do you check somebody's TABC permit (over/under 50%)? It would be useful to know whether or not I can carry BEFORE I leave the house. It is supposed to be in full view of the public. There are a couple of things. First you can go online and chec...

Sorry to hear it, Stevie.

And since I don't know what you were talking about, I'm guessing I won't be able to suggest anything - but good luck!

I just got a brief update from the regional supervisor - my inquiry will be checked out in the next couple of weeks. We will see what they say.

I work on the greenbelt and enjoy it quite frequently... you are legal to carry there.

Re: Nathan Deckinga for Leander ISD school board place 2

I'm going to be at a Winkley PTA fundraiser at Bush's Chicken (1431 and Walton Way) tomorrow night if anyone wants to stop by and say Hi. Also, if you have a gathering and wouldn't mind - I would love to stop by and introduce myself to hopefully get some additional votes in May. If you want more inf...

IIRC, the Houston zoo is owned by the city. Therefore, yes it is legal.

Re: 308 & 22 suggestions

Just about any "deer" caliber out there will be good enough for having fun at 200 yards. But I would suggest the .30-06 over the .308 just because you have the added capacity in case you want to hand load and get more powder. Same bullet in each, just a longer case in the -06. Of course you could al...

Re: Wrong sign @ Wing Stop

Were you able to talk to management about it? I was not able to talk to management about it, but I did verify it with the TABC license up by the cash register at the front. But the Wing Stop that originally started this thread hasn't changed signs yet so I am going to let TABC handle all of them at...

Re: Wrong sign @ Wing Stop

Found another one today - I had thought it was wrong for a while but I just verified the license today.

Jardin Corona in Cedar Park is sign=blue, but has the 51% posting.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it would be 51%.
I think that was a joke - a comment on the Irish drinking stereotype.
