Re: Sailor threatened by judge while serving overseas

After reading the full article, it does appear the judge is out of whack. However, we do not know the details of the custody hearing that awarded him full custody, or what may have transpired since. The judge may have facts we simply don't.

Re: New way to treat wounds caused by a bullet!

The tobacco thing was not meant to “heal” the wound. It was meant to be “first aid” to keep the person from bleeding out until the paramedics arrive, and the person can be transported to a hospital. BTW. I forgot to mention it stings a little when first applied. It also helps to moisten the tobacco...

Re: Deadline for class

We were told otherwise, and given an explanation. The extended rule is if they need new prints, extra docs or whatever. If you submit an application, and do nothing with it, and you have NO contact with the DPS, after 90 days they will delete it. Sherrie was very clear in explaining that they have ...

Re: Smith Thompson Home Security

I used Simplisafe and installed it myself. You have to pay for the equipment but monitoring is fairy cheap and it works on a cell signal. I looked at them. Is your keypad backlit? I never could tell. The worse thing about it, the LCD display is but the keypad is not. The only other complaint is tha...

Re: Does this meet the legal requirements ?

Wait, are you saying that if a 30.06 compliant sign is posted a conviction requires the state prove you saw the sign? That would be my argument in this case if I had not seen it so I never received notice the location was off limits; wouldn't it be yours? We are not clairvoyant, so unless you see i...

Re: Does this meet the legal requirements ?

Jbarn, That is one of the legal questions that will need to be decided in a court. The law says: (b) For purposes of this section, a person receives notice if the owner of the property or someone with apparent authority to act for the owner provides notice to the person by oral or written communica...

Yes it was 10 hours total 8am-6pm. That is not to say ten hours of classroom instruction. We did 4 hours of classroom instruction as is required. We spent 3 hours at the range qualifying 25 people. The rest of the time was filled with him telling us his opinion on how Florida law isn't written corr...

Re: Does this meet the legal requirements ?

Here are a couple of pictures I took a couple of days ago. The close-up of the sign is to provide a clear look at the wording. I am primarily concerned with whether I broke the law the times I entered with my handgun prior to seeing this notice. Welcome to the forum. I cannot see any pictures, but ...
