Re: Don't Laugh...25 Auto

In response to Charles, it doesn't surprise me at all that officers don't carry one in the chamber. Many police in China only carry a baton or cattle prod and no gun at all. Even the ones that have guns are required to turn in their guns at the end of their shift. That's no surprise. Kind of like t...

Re: Don't Laugh...25 Auto

People are so melodramatic. It's just a BACKUP gun people. Globally, most police officers only carry their service pistol without any backup gun. Only a few American police officers optionally (usually not required) carry a BUG. . Do you have any data, link, survey or study that supports this state...

Don't forget to subtract the actual murders and assaults from that number. Somebody whom kills or attempts to kill another, and is caught, will likely try to fabricate a self defense story. ;-)

Re: Recent encounter with LEO

If they're not wanted, and the car isn't stolen, let em' know a light isn't working, and let em' go. That would be a definition of a fishing stop, and unlawful. You can't be pulled over randomly or without having committed an offense. If a 3rd light out is probable cause, I screwed. Mine is out on ...

Re: A bit of a protest in Irving, Tx

Our rules don't allow discussions of religions and I know folks here are not trying to do that. That said, saying Islam is a "peaceful religion" and that the Muslims who are committing atrocities are "radicalized" is, in fact, discussing Islam by implying the content of its teachings. Let's not tal...

Re: Springfield XDs 9mm 3.3 ESSENTIAL Black (I pulled the trigger)

I haven't shot the 9mm, but I own the .45 version and love it. Same here, I run the .45 3.3, and it's become a part of me you could say. Everyday, everywhere, but mostly at my 6 carry. It is a part of my everyday attire, with an IWB tuck-able. Especially with colder weather now, I carry my full siz...

Re: Recent encounter with LEO

That was a fishing stop. Glad it went well. AFAIK, the third light being out is not an infraction. Just a fishing tactic. I always liked calling them courtesy stops, to let unsuspecting drivers know that they have a light out. I'm not the type that believe in "finding something" or fishing. If they...

Re: Recent encounter with LEO

Third light being out? Last I checked, it wasn't required, and not even necessary for your vehicle inspection. I know it can be used as a fishing tactic for "Defective Lighting" or whatever it may be now, but I don't recall it being a ticket-able offense to not have a third tail light, at least on a...

Re: Need an expert's opinion here..

Did you watch the video of her shooting? I did, and I suggest you go back and compare the amount of movement difference there is between you shooting it, and her. There is a large noticeable difference. If you would like a seasoned shooters opinion, look at her bracing it more closely. I've seen my...

Re: DP-12 Double Barrel Shotgun

I've gottento play with a few, and my first thoughts... "Man, this reminds me for some reason of the original Halo shotgun!" Aside from that, the pump release annoyed the heck out of me. My biggest concern, is that I couldn't figure out a way to confirm a clear chamber. I had some very experienced r...

Re: Houston - HPD TO HOST MEETING ON NEW OPEN CARRY LAW

I was impressed with the openness, courtesy and politeness of the Houston Police Chief. I live in Austin where things are a lot more tense. If you have a CHL or LTC you have passed background checks and if you have behaved yourself there should be no warrants against you. The stops only help us pre...

You imply you have greater training than I but you do not no me either . You imply that by wearing an official shirt or duty belt that you should be recognized as a LEO and given special treatment Imply? I scoff that ANYBODY with the proper training should be forbidden. You would at least think tha...

Re: Arms Room rant/inquiry on change of policy

I did assume all police departments had there own ranges. You did assume all police departments have their own ranges. I believe you have stated before you are in New Mexico, does every agency in NM have their own private range? You seem to think you should be afforded special privileges at a range...

Re: Texas Peace Officers Need to Reevaluate their ALERRT Training!

Who said I would stay in the open? Advance yes, cover yes, stupid no. By the way, I don't passively seek cover and protect my butt if I'm not with people to protect. I' seeking the shooter to try and prevent carnage. It was the lack of saying you wouldn't I suppose. You said you don't passively see...
