Re: Meet up?

There's a nice outdoor range just down the road from Big Daddy's. It's just one major intersection up from the BBQ joint. I shoot there often.

Re: Debating on a new 1911

I am also looking for another 1911. If I could afford the Kimber, that's what I would get. But champagne taste on a beer budget is where I always find myself. I'm also looking at Para, Colt, and Ruger. The Springfield may win out. Whichever you choose, you will enjoy it. If you're looking for a nic...

Re: Debating on a new 1911

I have no experience with Kimber, but I do have a Speingfield 1911 Range Officer and love it! Smooth action, nice trigger pull and good weight to it. I have always been a Sig P226 guy until I bought the Springfield, now it's my go to gun at the range, although my EDC is a Shield 9mm with a Crimson T...

Re: Hey Charles, are you going to change the name?

To TexasLTCForum? Heh. I'm on an airplane flying back from a week at NRA meetings. I'll try to remember where to find the code; I haven't seen it in eleven years! I have TexasLTCforum.com pointed at the Forum. Chas. Love to see that you're there fighting the good fight! I just received my Endowment...

Re: A Small WIN!

Way to go!

We have had a small victory at my company as well. Employees are still prohibited to carry while at work, we must leave them locked up in our cars in the designated parking area. But very happy to say we now have no 30.06/30.07 signs posted!

Not there this weekend but I was a few weeks back and they had a sign posted at the door. They were putting zip ties through the slides.

Re: Sell/Trade at GRB Gun Show

I can't figure out how to change the zip search on the site I use. But in my local area (DFW) the cheapest I'm finding online is $355.

What area are you in? I've found some pretty good prices online too, give me your zip code and I'll see what pops up.

Re: Sell/Trade at GRB Gun Show

I've gone to a couple of local shows lately and the Shield 9mm has been selling for $350. That's a pretty good price already. If you want the upgraded finish it usual runs about $20 more. I own one myself and have been thinking about picking up a second to keep in the car. My edc one has a nice maga...

Re: "Dallas Zoo could be headed for legal showdown over ‘no guns’ signs"

They might be called ride, but is not "amusement" ride. Amusement ride is what one can see at Six-flags or state fair. It is up to the judge to clarify what is an amusement ride. I agree. I have never once been amused on that ride at the zoo, well except this one time when two animals were having.....
