IMHO
My opinion only - but - why not qualify with a semi-auto so you can carry either a revolver or pistol? Also, if the cylinder is getting gunked before you run 50 rounds thru - you need cleaner ammo.

lets discuss
So far, none of the LEO's Ive had contact with during a routine traffic stop have asked me to get out of the car, but you never know...hence the question. You get stopped regularly huh? And after telling the LEO that you have CHL and you are setting on it - they have never asked you to give it to t...

The Tomcat is sensitive to two things, limp wristing, and certain ammunitions for FTE problems. Great small carry piece otherwise (even if it is only a .32). Limp wrist is easy to control - just grip it like the subcompact Glocks (hand on frame but not the death grip, second hand up from below over ...

I have heard of this
The version I have heard of this problem was like this. Because of the 6 only magazine, owners of the G36 were taking a single round and inserting it in the barrel thru the ejection port, then inserting the magazine, so they have 7 rounds quick. Supposedly wears or breaks the ejector by doing it thi...

I understand that someone licensed to carry in the particular state that the US Forest Service lands (Federal land) are located is permitted to carry there (unless specifically posted). The state law change of Fla would have no impact on the Federal law or regulation - and since FL is RTC then the p...

I understand but...
I think I understand that you are upset that the LEO/Game Warden kinda grilled you there but consider the situation. There was probable cause that you may have seen the GW early and hid your rifle before coming out of the woods. There were two of you, one with a carry handgun, and another handgun in...

For a semi auto - Glock 26, simple, reliable, 11 available rounds, not too heavy, cheap 9mm ammo for practice, and, you can clean it in the dishwasher... For a revolver - Smith and Wesson 637, also simple, reliable, 5 rounds of +P, airweight but not so light it smacks your hand, and cheap 38 ammo. N...

In the sense of single or double actions - Glock (and real clones) are neither. The striker ('firing pin') is partially cocked by the slide when the first round is racked an then again by succeeding shots. The rest of the 'cock' is completed by the trigger as it is pulled rearward until release. I t...
