Re: License holder shoots his own dog

These stories make me mad. I have a pitt, she would sooner lick you to death than bite you. That said, walking her off leash would be about as smart sweeping my "unloaded" gun for fun. Sure, it is perfectly safe until it isn't... I think anyone on this board can get annoyed with owners of "X" that g...

Re: Poll: Native or Transplant?

Born and raised in Utah--came here for work. You'd be surprised at how similar the two places are. Both are great.

Re: Utah College teacher unsuccessfully tries to shame lawful carry of firearms in classroom

It is amazing to me that this person was dumb enough to fail to anticipate this outcome. I would bet that a majority of the Utah legislature has CHLs, many of them have kids that go to the U, and the legislature has been very supportive of campus carry. At least it was a grad student and not a profe...

Re: 3 D Printed guns in the news

Where this will be an issue in the U.S. will be based on other products. Could I 3D print a suppressor or a 50 round magazine? 3D printing will get cheaper and better. We should not fall asleep on this political issue because the current gun quality is poor or because it is expensive. I do not think...

Re: Are our glory days behind us? Yes, I think they are.

I was speaking to an Australian client about this subject once and we both agreed that the USA is unfortunately not likely to survive this in the long run. He asked me what country I would live in...where could my family thrive... I said--Texas. Anytime I get in despair mode I remember that I am sur...

Re: Frisco couple caught with 'large capacity' guns, silencers at Mass. hotel

I moved from NH to TX and drove through MA with my guns. The one that I was most worried about was my Walther P22. Of all the guns I had, it was the one that could land me in trouble in MA. I am so glad I do not live in that area anymore. There are a couple of good legal attacks that this situation ...

Re: Anyone else have a beer gut?

Just a thought from left field... My gut and my daily conditions finally rendered me to ankle carrying my G26. Between the 1 hour commute and the long sit at my desk time, there was no way to make it work. Jeans or slacks conceal it very well. And oftentimes I forget it is there. Maybe try an ankle...

Re: Should I conceal carry a .22 pistol?

As the others said, .22LR > 0. I would also double check the large caliber issue as it could be something else. My wife could not fire my 9mm (saying it jumped everywhere and hurt her hand). She stayed with her .22 for a long time. Finally, I got her to fire my Sig P238. It is a small gun that fit h...

Re: The wife is weird sometimes..........

We have an emergency prep fund that we put cash into every month. It buys things like food/water storage, a generator, etc. The good thing about that fund is that everything you buy is long term (e.g. freeze-dried food lasts 25 years)...so the money stacks up. If I want a new gun every couple of yea...

I agree that this isn't funny. That said, I do not know why I am laughing so hard.

It's like when you get mad at your kids and laugh at the same time. I'm so confused.

Re: Thinking About Defense of Others

In my opinion, no jury in Texas is going to convict you for walking past a 30.06 sign to save someone's life who is under active attack. You should be covered under a defense of necessity. Keep in mind that I'm not a lawyer, but I just don't see it happening. This attorney agrees with both of your ...
