Re: Fed leaves gun on top of car, drives off...

The third bulletin cracks me up.

"A CHP officer's gun was stolen from his Prius in October"

Only a San Francisco police officer would drive a Prius off duty.

Re: CHL/LTC - Sharing Qualification Test

Reminds me of a guy that I was talking to one day that said competition shooting will get you killed in a street fight. I actually pondered it for a bit until coming to the realization the guy had no idea what he was talking about.

Re: Keeping gun in holster

Absolutely nothing good can come from playing show and tell. Politely say no but if you would like to meet me at the range and punch holes in targets, let's go. I've said this multiple times and a few have actually gone to the range with me. I'm sure somebody will disagree, that's fine- but my answ...

Want to try hog hunting in West Texas

Let me start by saying I have never been hunting at all. I live in Lubbock and would like to try it. Found a couple websites for places and it looks like it's about $150 for hunt with a guide. Does that sound about normal? Do they normally process it (this isn't clear on most sites)? What are some q...

We are stuck here until September.
I don't know to tell you the truth. I would imagine it would since its their property but hopefully one of the more seasoned members will chime in.

Re: supporting docs all uploaded now for the wait...

Thats not as easy as it sounds. Like the rest of of us you will begin to check the site daily for a change after the first week or so. It's no big deal I bet a big percentage of people do. Lord knows I did while in "The waiting room". Good luck to you and my you wait be short.

Re: FS: Revolvers: S&W 36, 27-2, 1905, 329PD ---- Ruger Speed Six

Very nice guns. Would love to add any or all to my collection. Curiosity and ignorance prompts me to ask. Is it legal to ship a gun directly to a purchaser without shipping to an FFL? As long as age and residency requirements are met by the buyer, it is perfectly legal to privately ship a gun withi...

Re: Road Rage Approached Driver With A Bat...

Since both drivers stopped and when approached, the second driver produced a stick apparently to re-enact the river crossing scene in Robin Hood. That would be considered mutual combat. So what I'm saying is, based on the given scenario I would not have stopped unless caught at a light, or traffic ...

Re: What brought you to getting your CHL/LTC

I decided to get it protect myself and family if then worst happened. Had my CCW in California and once we moved to Texas it's so dang easy to get here (compared to CA) I got it here also. I don't understand why more people in a state like this don't have it even if the don't/can't carry everyday. T...

Re: LCP? And my girlfriend is awesome!

My wife is a small girl also. We did as suggested and went to range and rented a couple different guns for here to try. She hated the glock26 but loved springfield xd compact so that's what she got. I am 6'5" and 190 and I will be honest the one time I shot an lcp I hated that little thing.

Speaking of Texas history. I know what I was doing 1 year ago on this valentines day in Texas at about 9pm at night. Sleeping. I've been married 14 years so I was sleeping. Dang Valentines day used to be fun.
