Re: Forbus 1911 Holster

When I first started carrying I bought a fobus paddle holster for my m&p, horrible thing, once I bought a stealth gear and later a triple T custom made holster it went to the trash.

Re: Homeowners 1 burglar 0

Awesome! I don’t think the taking of a life is an awesome event. I’m not even sure in this case it was needed. No, taking a life isn't awesome. However, I do feel this was probably justified and my thinking is someone who decides to break in and steal, possibly harm someone to earn money instead of...

Re: Homeowners 1 burglar 0

The KHOU article is poorly written. ABC 13 says the suspect was killed while breaking in. Channel 2 says "The suspect kicked the homeowners' back door in and that's when the two began to fire at him, police said." If so, justified. The way I read it was they heard a noise, got up to find the back d...

Homeowners 1 burglar 0

Love seeing these stories, bad guy breaks in house, home owners shoot and kill bad guy. No one of any concern is hurt, no tax dollars spent on repeat felons in and out of jail. Feel good story for Sunday. Homicide detectives said the homeowners heard noises coming from their back door. They went to ...

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Crockett,TX

I love Crockett. My parents live in Oakwood which is about 20min west of Crockett, we drive through the square going to the 303 loop to visit walmart or any of the other stores over there. It's a very nice area with a cool history.

Re: Houston Museum of Natural Science

There are a LOT of cops who are set to patrol this place, and the entire district area. I thought about striking up a convo with the cop at the front security desk and seeing if he was aware that the 30.06 signs were unenforceable. But I figured it would only cause more issue where there wasn't one,...

Re: Houston Museum of Natural Science

I didn't measure them, just a guess. My wife knows I'll walk right past a 30.xx sign without a thought if it's unenforceable.

Re: Houston Museum of Natural Science

The signage is laughable. We parked in the garage, and there is none at that entrance. On the main door the sign is about 6in long by 2in high. Letters are about 1/4in or less in size.

Is the museum city property, or owned by a non-profit org?

Re: Houston Museum of Natural Science

I'm especially interested in their gun exhibit. Guns and arms from the 1500-1800s. My kids are excited to go as they've never been, and they love science!

Re: Houston Museum of Natural Science

According to the 30.06 app. It's posted both 06 and 07, HOWEVER..... Main door signage is marked as invalid, as the lettering is only 1/4" in height, and if parking in the parking garage there is no sign on that entrance. Think I'll carry on. As is, carrying concealed is just that... CONCEALED, no o...

I don't think the president is pro or anti 2nd Amendment. When I do believe is that he just might be a fudd.

Re: Rescued a forlorn old girl today

Some people have all the luck. :grumble Congratulations on a good find! :thumbs2: He's had it since the early 00s I believe, this and a 9x18 Makarov that I had a choice of. While both rounds are somewhat odd, the 7.62 appealed to me more. It's a hot little round, makes a brilliant flash of light an...
