Got it all turned in today

Went and did my fingerprints today, as soon as I got to the truck I started uploading everything. I had 6 documents to send and only 5 upload spots, so I called and asked about the 6th document. Got that cleared and the lady said she was amazed that she could already see my stuff in the system. She ...

Re: Application question

I filed my application yesterday, took the LTC class today, and am going to get fingerprinted Wednesday. I listed the 2 misdemeanors that I knew of on my application. I decided tonight I would run a background check and look up my criminal stuff. There is a 3rd charge that I cannot for the life of ...

Re: Another question on chl eligibility

I'm pretty positive it was while I was a minor. I don't believe that they even do a check into juvenile stuff. Just adult background I'm thinking. If anyone has any insight, feel free to correct me. Because it is a pain to obtain juvenile records apparently.

Wow really? Is there anywhere I can confirm that? I'll try to get paperwork somehow but I'm not sure how to go about that. But this starting time over is nonsense lol.

Re: Another question on chl eligibility

Well it's not like there was never an outcome to it I was found not guilty. So there was an arrest there was just never a conviction. And this is been 15 years ago now, so it wouldn't fall under the five-year for misdemeanors or anyting. It was also a while I was a juvenile so I don't think it will ...

Another question on chl eligibility

I dont know if there are not too many lawyers in here but I know there are a few instructors in here. I am looking to go take my LTC class in the next few weeks, and am trying to make a check list of all the things I need to do and maybe even a couple things I may need to worry about. I will not go ...

Re: Use of weapon without chl

Your original post and the thread title both specify, "without chl". Every answer you've been given in this thread fits the question you asked. 99% of the information in the CHL-16 applies to anyone, regardless of license status. Stop trying to make this hard... it's not. Not trying to make anythin...

Re: Use of weapon without chl

Those are good laws and standards of conduct for people with A LTC though. Do the same rules apply to just your average non CCL citizen who happens to have a firearm in their vehicle or about their person legally?

I think I know who you are talking about, I lived in Friendswood for 20 some odd years. I will look into it thanks. He shouldn't be hard to find, he owns this forum! http://texaschlforum.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3 When I was 14 or so, I worked at that range on the weekends. Me and a fe...

Re: Use of weapon without chl

Okay that was essentially my question I guess I used the word brandishing poorly. I realize somebody who is just showing is gone to a friend is one thing, but somebody was waving it around and pointing it at people and giving them commands is more what I meant. So if somebody is pointing their weapo...
