Re: El Paso Walmart Shooting

Here's something else to ponder. Do y'all recall the group, I think from Tarrant County, who were lobbying for open carry for handguns and went about town with long guns and AR's? I think I recall they visited retailers like WalMart at the time. I just wonder how they would manage right now given th...

Re: El Paso Walmart Shooting

And another hendrance--given the number of people in the store, and all of them running for thei lives, even if you think you have a clear shot, the odds of harming an innocent is pretty high. A lot of holders might hesitate in fear of hitting a bystander and then needing to invoke their LTC group i...

Re: 9 Days

That's great news. My wife's car was broken into today and the wallet was taken with her license. Police captured one of the women involved. Other gone with the goods. Replacement is about 15 bucks on line for seniors. Good to know it will be coming quickly.

Is total number of LTCs published?

I've found the DPS site that shows the annual new licenses, revokes, but not renewals or total over all number. Without renewals I don't think I can calculate the total current licenses. Anyone know where the numbers are stored?

Re: Empty drive space near full

You're great. Installed Tree Size, found System Volume Info too large. Went to Control Panel, Recovery and found allocation for backup and restore way too large. I'm back in business and it was pretty easy with Tree Size. Have a greater holiday.

Empty drive space near full

Don't know how to describe this issue concisely. Noticed that a full partition backup takes about 80 gigs of space using True Image. It does a good job of compressing--actual used space should be below 150 gigs I think. On this 1 tb drive though, it shows a healthy drive with a bit over 100 gb avail...

Re: Kay Jewelers store manager no longer employed after keeping on-duty deputy from picking up ring

How is it much different from offering free coffee and donuts and a stool to sit on in the back of the 7-Eleven stores? If I'm a retailer and I have diamonds in the showcase and an unlocked front door, I'm praying for free security. Show that officer every engagement ring in the store and keep him t...

No matter how much they try to comfort you, a hospital room isn't home. The Lord God has watched over you and is restoring your health. Texas has some fine doctors who are guided by the Lord. Welcome home.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. God has trained your doctors well, so no doubt you are in good hands and will be feeling much better very soon.

Re: Question Re: Windows 10 System Image Backup

For this job, take a look at Laplink.com, PC Mover. they have several levels, but the idea is to install the program on both the old and new computers, it creates files and moves the old stuff to the new computer, leaving the new drivers on the new machine untouched, not transferring what isn't need...

Harbor Freight isn't good for a lot of stuff, but they have some decently constructed bags for cheap that are worth a look.

Hopefully that will make Chicago a little safer place to live, and may encourage other safety conscious residents to get a license.
