Re: TX: DPS trooper’s 3 yo injured by gun.

There will be no charges, no disciplinary action, nothing. Some LEO's are just as negligent when it comes to firearm safety as anyone else.

Re: Still Waiting...Let's Chat

What's "insane" about it? There a whole lot more gun owners in Texas than LTC holders. That, to me, sounds pretty normal. Not everybody can pass the background check or cough up the fees for the class or other essentials. What's insane if you ask me, is some states, are writing legislation to jump t...

It's very easy on a Macintosh - restart, choose which backup, carry on. System software, applications, everything.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

Mr. Cotton, Sir, don't large departments compel their employees to answer questions, especially if they have cases open, or those employees could be terminated? And if terminated, that could mean a loss of retirement benefits? I didn't mean to imply they don't enjoy a 5th amendment right, just that ...

There will be no prosecution or any consequences for this 'Agent'. - Proof you say? How does this grab you? -- “Yes, he misstated the transaction that took place. But we felt it was nothing intentional.” - I've been trying to tell you guys, any connections to govt service, or any kind of Law Enforce...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

I'm afraid you guys are missing the point ... once he retires, any questions he's asked, he can refuse to answer via his 5th amendment right. If he's still a police officer, he must answer all the questions. This is an attempt to stay out of prison but also to keep whatever pension he can get. Goine...

As I suspected ... "Texas Ranger Cody Allen interviewed *The Home Owner*, the affidavit detailed, and he admitted against his penal interest that he was inside the residence and fired a handgun in the direction of Heidelberg, the affidavit stated. There was reportedly no evidence of anyone else disc...

really....that's how ALL addresses are done, everywhere! my kids learned that as children.
I learned it then too, the shooter is the son of a Police Captain in the same department, but there's no conflict right?

Re: Midland PD officer shot and killed. Edited

My sincere condolences to the murdered officers friends family and colleagues. At night homeowner shot at flashlight. I’m going to assume an elderly man. Who set his burglar alarm to Stay went to bed. Another poster has already made my point, but you are making wild, I dare say, one sided assumptio...

Re: Midland PD officer shot and killed. Edited

The whole story hasn't come out yet obviously, but a story I saw said the cops were responding to a residential burglar alarm, not a 911 call. In a town next to mine, LEO's responded to the incorrect house of a residential alarm, shot & killed the home owner in his garage. The killer and his partner...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

I do not understand that more than a month after the illegal raid why no charges have been filed. That's easy, It goes something like this .. *clears throat* The law is for thee citizen, not for me, a respected LEO under a cloud of suspicion. Everybody who supervised, who had any kind of responsibi...

Which is worse? A Home Owner getting killed by police in his own home? (and the officer not being charged with a crime) Or an officer being killed by a Home Owner protecting his home thinking they were intruders? (Home Owner being charged with manslaughter is being held on a $75,000 bond.)
