Re: May Applications

There has to be some kind of weird system going on over there...I had a PIN the first week of June (after taking my class the 2nd weekend of May). DPS even said my 60 days started the 14th of May which was cool since I took the class the 10th of May and mailed the App on the 12th. I hope I get mine ...

Re: WTB Ruger .380 LCP

Probably right...

Anyone selling one at a reasonable price? A buddy just got one at the SAXET Gun Show in SAT for $339.

WTB Ruger .380 LCP

I've been trying every Academy around the SAT metro to no avail. I'm looking to stay around the $299 price range that Academy offers if possible. I'd prefer FTF (SAT or Austin areas) but can work with an FFL if someone is patient and can guide me on the process as I have never done it before. :confu...

Ranges in San Antonio that allow

Are there any ranges in San Antonio or nearby that allow draw from holster shooting or a walking course? I checked the other San Antonio thread and didn't see any mention of it. I have trained on this in the military (about 9 years ago now) and would love to get back into it again...

Re: Article: Civilian Response to Active Shooter Situations

Best part of the article: First and foremost, it is absolutely unacceptable to get caught in public in need of a gun without one when you are legally empowered to carry one. SO... if you have a carry permnit, CARRY. Of course, by encouraging any CCW permit holders to carry I'm assuming that they are...

A busy weekend in San Antonio

LEO's - 2 BG's - 0 Police said an officer was patrolling behind the store when a man in a maroon car started ramming his patrol car. The patrol car became trapped between the maroon car and a concrete barrier. http://www.woai.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=b6fb0e67-094b-4005-894e-a85f35808d0f ...

Re: WTS Taurus PT25 .25ACP Sub-Compact

We got this for my wife and haven't even shot it. It looks as though it had been fired before, but never by us. We purchased it at Texas Thunder in San Antonio for $275 or so, not including tax. I'm hoping to get $250 OBO. I realize I may have gotten ripped off to begin with...so I am open to any d...

Matching local police caliber?

I've read a few articles that state "A choice often advocated for selecting the correct stopping power in CCW training classes is to select to use the exact same type of bullets (FMJ or hollow point), in the exact same caliber that are used by the local police, to avoid being accused of overreacting...

Has it ever happened to you?

I tired to search for a thread about this but it came up with far too many mismatched results... Have you ever been 'made' by someone else when you are out only to have them "freak out" and make a scene? That is a big concern of mine and I don't want to be at Wal-Mart or Target and end up with some ...
