Re: TX: Fort Worth woman shot by home owner for being "suspicious"

I have a friend in north Ft Worth that had two strangers knock on the door this morning at 6am. They were holding a phone and said they were at the wrong house when my friend demanded to know what they wanted. The strangers were covered in dark hoodies. I get the impression that opportunistic burgla...

Re: .45 HP necessary YorN

I agree with Jusme. I've carried a 1911 for years and always use HP (and train with my carry ammo as well). In short, if I have to use my weapon, I want the bullet to expend its energy in the target. I am not a LEO and my training practice involves people: not cars, not shooting through cover, and n...

Re: Ice bullets: Fiction or developed by CIA for "wet work"?

I heard about frozen blood bullets from a Charlie Chan movie: Black Magic aka Meeting at Midnight (1944).

Very entertaining, but it's fiction.

Re: Tough one - loose dog - their property

I had a similar situation last week and I would like to add something as yet unsaid. I live in a subdivision that's adjacent to the Trinity River in Fort Worth. I have seen coyotes, bobcats, and turkeys foraging in the neighborhood using the golf course as an access. While walking my dog I was confr...

Re: Trump vs. Clinton Round 1

Reading this thread is funny. I refuse to watch, just like I never watched Survivor. Y'all got four episodes with crafted competitions, then the viewers get to vote one of them off the island.

Everyday I pray for our country, IMO media is feeding the Fifth Column.
My two cents,

Forgive my off thread remark about the Cowboys...

It appears Jerry Jones implied he expects respect from his team. I'm proud of that.

Well done Karder!
Been there myself with an old Land Cruiser. I'm glad those hikers didn't have to spend the night waiting on help. Nights in the desert are cold and thirsty.

Thank you Lucas McCain and TAM.
You both express my frustration with humanity and comfort with my Savior.
I will survive, I just hate to see so much grief and misery created by greed and immorality.

Re: Kudos to All

Anything we do to promote personal responsibility in our community, improves our community.
The concept of personal responsibility is lost in today's liberal mindset.

The reason an armed community is a polite community is personal responsibility, not the guns.
Happy Trails!
