Re: FS: Winchester Model 12

Gentlemen, I will gladly attest to the condition of the Model 12.

I have seen it personally, handled it and looked it over carefully.

It IS every bit as good as represented (IMO better).

For the asking price....you will not find a better specimen.

Re: Another mystery discharge

If it truly was a derringer, he must not have had the crossbar safety engaged. That is a recipe for disaster if something hits the hammer. Yep. That...and most Derringers lack a trigger guard. Maybe there will be more details on this at a latter date. Can't fault the officer for carrying a BUG, but...

Re: My friend and his wife have finally is converted.

The funny part about the whole conversation his wife shouts at him "you see if I had my CHL this wouldn't have happened". While I am glad your friends intend to 'arm' themselves....I hope they will not be under any illusion that the robbery "Wouldn't" have happened or that it won't happen again. Th...

Re: Could They Be Any More Dishonest?

The liberal mindset is a very illogical and scary thing. I've long held that 'Liberal' thinking (the extreme kind) is a form of Mental Illness. Liberals tend to be moved to 'emotion' easily and will act upon that alone. Any attempt to bring facts or logic into the mix...is viewed as an affront to t...

They just don't get it. The mayor, the city council(or what ever form of local government they have), the police chief, the police commissioner...they just don't understand the obvious fact, that the shootings they have in that city are inversely proportional to the number of guns held by the LAW A...

Re: TX: breaking- active shooter West Houston

Did I comprehend that correctly.. Now police are not sure if the second shooter was active in the attack or somehow otherwise involved Second 'guy' is no longer a suspect (Byron Wilson). Turns out he was a 'Good Samaritan' trying to stop the incident. He was shot by 'Garza' the lone shooter. So far...

ive been looking for one local to fondle a bit, no one seems to have them in stock. just fyi, i've read a lot of issues on the 1911 forum requiring them to be sent back to have the ejector pinned. I wrote Springfield C/S this morning inquiring if newly manufactured EMP4 pistols will the leave facto...

Re: Who or What's Behind So-Called Trump Protestors?

There isn't much you can do about a violent mob BEFORE they get violent. We do have that pesky right to assemble. ^^^^^^^ Agreed. And the right to protest and the right to free speech. I wholeheartedly agree with and support that. However, there is no 'right' to riot and ONCE a significant number o...

Thanks! James If you find one please post a rev...

Re: Fire that led to fatal Texas fertilizer explosion set on purpose

Fertilizer plants would make attractive targets for a terrorist (home grown or otherwise), I am surprised we haven't seen more instances of this type thing (arson). Another type target: Petroleum Bulk Terminals (where tanker trucks fill up) and pipeline hubs are often woefully under guarded and woul...

Re: What ya'll say on this snake ?

Was cleaning up this weekend and found this little guy under some old boards and i thought at first cotton mouth but he didn't seem angry like they usually are and also did not have have the bright white mouth when he struck once so i put him in the creek and let him go on his way. Re: What ya'll say on this snake ?

While weed whacking, I came across a nest of snakes. It turns out using a weed whacker to dispatch snakes is a bad idea..... snake bits flying everywhere!!! :???: I can tell you from experience that a 'Chainsaw' is another tool not ideally suited to the dispatch of snakes. Or IF you decide to use o...

Flint, not saying it can't happen.....just saying I've never heard of this malfunction until now. I know. That's why I am taking the time to point it out. I don't want you or anyone else finding out the hard way. I'll have to investigate. Manually try to duplicate the problem with ANY shot shell yo...
