South Padre Beaches

I read through the Galveston thread, but just wanted to double check this before I leave for this weekend. Are the beaches in South Padre considered any sort of park? Or any other reason that carry would be restricted anywhere on the island other than 51% and 30.06? Thanks. And any suggestions for w...

It's nice to see so many other young CHLer's here. I'm 23, been carrying since a week after I turned 22. Even though I'm leaving school for good, maybe there'll finally be enough support to remove public schools from restricted places. Can't tell you how much I despise that one.

Sorry for the last response. I just moved out into the country and didn't have internet for a while.

I heard back from PEC. I got the job! Thanks for the prayers everyone! Praise be to God.

Another vote for the P3AT. I picked one up at the gun show last weekend and put 100 shots through it earlier this week. I had one FTE on the last round of the first magazine, but no problems whatsoever after that. I chalk that up to not being broken in yet. Granted that was only 100 rounds, but I ha...

To those in the know, does sticking the plate on your dash up against the windshield count? Nope it doesn't. Is there a reason for that? I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, I'm just wondering if maybe it's implied that the front of a car is not its windshield. Just looking for further clarific...

Thanks for the help. PayPal will hopefully work for now. It is a little costly, but we'll investigate other methods once we get things going and are looking to sharpen our profits. I'll check out rentacoder.com. Sounds interesting. Regarding SEO. The developers we have now claim that they optimize t...

Being that the question was specific to the 2nd amendment ("A well regulated militia...") I voted for individual right as it says the "right of the People". If it were gun ownership in general I may have voted differently. I don't think it will be upheld in Supreme Court. But, it's such a dangerous ...

If anyone can identify this story, please let me know. It probably happened a while ago. My CHL instructor gave it as an example of case law regarding deadly force, but didn't recommend it. This guy kept having his truck vandalized at night (beating with bats, breaking windows, that kind of thing). ...

I can imagine it now.

About six guys all squeezed onto one side of a booth because no one shoots left handed.

Invite some non-CHLs to balance out the other side of the booth.

In need of good web developer

My wife and I are starting our own business. Been almost two years in the planning/making, and the website is nearing one year in the works. Our current web developer (a company in NJ) works painfully slow, but to be honest, I haven't devoted a lot of time to working with them lately (mostly out of ...

Graduating college, need to start career

Another job related request. I just found this sub-forum and thought I'd post this. I interviewed with Pedernales Electric Co-op last week. They were supposed to make their decision by today, but for whatever reason, the upper management guys weren't around to finalize the deal before they offer the...

Ask any senior in high school why we have the 2nd amendment, and you'll understand. According to my high school government teacher, the 2nd amendment is "the most widely misinterpreted amendment." I happened to be wearing an NRA shirt that day. Not cool. Anyway, back to the original post. I'm just ...

I'm 23 and always get asked for ID at Wal-Mart. The question is for the age restriction on handgun ammo. My Wal-Mart even has a sign quoting the law on it. Last time I was there (a few days ago) I stood there for 25 minutes while the employee helped two out of state ladies get their fishing licenses...
