Re: Talked to the office of the Chairman of the Licensing and

I'm not against anyone here and I totally respect Mr. Cotton and everyone else in this debate, but again, I would like to hear if anyone has already had a denial hearing when they haven't been denied. the burden of proof is on the person making the claim. To claim that you can get a denial hearing i...

Re: Talked to the office of the Chairman of the Licensing and

ok, I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but again you can't have a denial hearing, unless you have been denied. If you send a written apeal for a denial, dps may try and hurry the process or contact someone for backgrounds, but that's no different then the many legislative action sheets they get. Y...

Re: Talked to the office of the Chairman of the Licensing and

Again, you can't appeal a "denial" when you haven't been "denied", you're only denied when you get a letter letting you know you are denied. You can have a hearing to complain about processing times or to argue the statues, but not a denial, I promise you won't make it far on this.

Re: Talked to the office of the Chairman of the Licensing and

Ok, so you still are not "officially" denied, until you are officially denied. I garauntee, you have no case until you receive a letter from DPS stating that you are denied. If you are from Harris County, everyone already knows about that, including the Governer. At the current time, only comissione...

Re: Talked to the office of the Chairman of the Licensing and

one quick thing.. you can't have a denial hearing, unless you've already been officially denied. that means they send you a denial letter. they don't have "hearings" for people who are just unhappy with processing times or background checks taking long. You won't get a denial hearing without first b...

Re: April 2009 Applications

I totally get the anxiety of waiting, but one way I like to look at things is this: If I'm at the local grocery store on a busy day and I end up waiting forever in line, even if I'm in a hurry, I never ever take it out on the cashiers, not even the head cashier.. it's the people at the very top who ...

Re: Where do drop off paperwork in person in Austin

this is a helpful map to where they're located:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Austi ... code=78752" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I also found out that you can do fingerprints at Denson Rd. and Airport Blvd. It's 108 Denson Rd. I believe.

Re: How do you find out if and/or when it's received?

without a delivery confirmation, it takes like 6 weeks to be entered in their system.. until then you really won't have a way to find out without delivery confirmation.
