Re: Which Browser did you submit application & wait time

Call and make sure you are not missing something. My son's CHL100 was missing and the website did not show anything. It was submitted online but they did not have it.

Re: Obama commutes sentence of Chelsea Manning

I really dislike President Obama's decision here but what else is new. Unlike his numerous executive orders and actions this is a power that the Constitution explicitly grants to the President of the United States. This is but one of an number of reasons as to why the election of the President is so...

Re: Ubuntu Question

Charles, I also meant to add that you can test it now before you decide to install it on that device. If you install Oracle Virtual Box https://www.virtualbox.org/ on a computer now you can then run Linux (or almost any other OS) as a virtual machine. There are a few caveats with it (space, cpu, mem...

Re: Ubuntu Question

Charles, I would recommend Linux Mint https://www.linuxmint.com/ over Ubuntu. It is based on Ubuntu but it is more "friendly" in that it is much easier to install 3rd party proprietary software (like media CODECS etc.). Mint has been the most popular Linux desktop for several years running...

Re: I'm a Movie Star!!!

If the training was intended to teach thwarting a close attack, i.e. knife, club etc. before drawing and shooting I can understand as it is doubtful anyone has time to draw AND shoot if your attacker has gotten very close to you. But that is why situational awareness and training for close and not s...

Ditto. That just looks really strange to be throwing the hands up - and not tactically advantageous. But need more information.

Re: Do you refuse to do business with 30.06 & 30.07 businesses?

As others have stated 30.07 is a dress code so that doesn't bother me. I try to avoid 30.06 but it isn't always possible.

Re: HB927: Fines for Preemption Breakers

I know it would be nice to fine officials instead of the tax payers footing the bill... but aren't elected (and appointed) officials across most government entities granted immunity from such in their official capacity? If they weren't I think we would see unscrupulous attorneys coming out of the wo...

Re: Do you wear gloves when cleaning your guns?

What non-toxic solvents are you guys using I've used Ed's Red for years. If there's a non-toxic solvent that doesn't stink up the house, I can clean guns in my reloading room instead of the garage. :thumbs2: Chas. Charles, I use Froglube: http://froglube.com/ non-toxic, bio based solvent. It doesn'...

Re: Conceal carry at work

I assume a work vehicle is considered the same as the office? If verbally informed guns are not allowed in vehicles during new hire orientation, and one is found at later date, it is a legal matter as well as a firing offence? Work vehicle is their property - so if notice was given the answer is ye...

Re: Fort Worth Gun

Their website is http://www.fortworthgun.com/ has their address 513 Alta Mere Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76114. I went in a couple of months ago to look around but not much inventory. I think they mostly sell online. But agree with you that their prices are high.
