Re: Restaurant Recommendation Help

We did the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church BBQ in Huntsville ride today. Excellent choice... thanks bci21984 for the recommendation. Rode from League City to Cleveland, and then to New Waverly through the Sam Houston National Forest. After lunch we headed east to Oakhurst, down to Coldspring, bac...

Re: Kidnap my daughter --- Please kidnap my daughter

When will parents wake up and realize that they are advertising to each and every pedophile that passes their vehicle and the world is full of evil people. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a problem with this habit. There is a SUV in League City that has stickers and names for the whole family...

I ended up sending mine back for a refund. I was really disappointed it didn't work for me because it sure seemed like a good design. I suppose to the many who swear by them, it is a good design.

Re: Got to ride the big bikes

Why do you need to join a club? Just enjoy the ride. :iagree:... now my wife is a different story. She wants to do big group rides and rallies, I on the other hand want to generally get AWAY from people. She joined The Texas Free Riders http://www.meetup.com/Texas-Free-Riders" onclick="window.open(...

Re: IWB Carry Position

I gave up on IWB for carrying, other than to take the dog out or something quick using the DeSantis Insider. I just couldn't get a comfortable fit in any position, and I bought the fancy MTAC Minotaur. Luckily my dress is usually casual with an un-tucked shirt that works well with OWB. If I have to ...

Re: Restaurant Recommendation Help

I'll recommend Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. Nice ride and nice eats. Especially the pie!!! :coolgleamA: Edit - sorry, but in retrospect, looks like I failed the 150 mile constraint! MF is about 200... :cryin Great pie though!!! :thumbs2: That OK! Fortunately my Dad retired and moved to Frederic...

Re: Restaurant Recommendation Help

Thanks for the recommendations so far... hopefully more will come! At least I've got some ideas on planning some rides with the destination of good food.

Restaurant Recommendation Help

I thought I'd throw this out and see if anyone can help... My wife and I have been riding our motorcycles quite a lot since we got them just a couple of months ago (about 3000 miles in about 10 weeks.) I really enjoy riding the Farm to Market and County Roads and I'm looking for recommendations of g...

Re: Took the comp tac plunge

I didn't like the thought of IWB for quite a while either. After getting a Minotaur for my G27 and realizing the flexibility this afforded me with my wardrobe I liked it a bit more. Several months later I'm completely sold on IWB and find it quite comfortable. It has it's time and place. What is th...

Re: What is a man?

Lot's of good answers above. Here is one more to add to them. A man honers his word at all costs. I'd like to add to honor his commitments/obligations as well. It sickens me when I read of all the people that walk away from their mortgage, even though they can afford it, because the "value" has gon...

I'll be in attendance for sure. Question: Can I bring my wife who isn't a direct TexasCHLforum member?

Re: motorcycle and carrying

My wife and I just recently started riding... like two weeks ago. I've got a Yamaha V Star 1100 Custom and she has the V Star 950. Both are WAY COOL! Anyway... I stated out carrying my Kel-Tec P3AT in my pocket with a Nemesis pocket holster, but wanted the comfort of carrying my usual. So I tried ou...

Re: Does anyone compete with a carry gun

I've shot two IDPA matches (the 2nd being today) and I shoot the same gun that I carry on a regular basis, which is a Glock 19. I use the same holster that I normally carry with, and the only exception are the extra magazines. This time around I increased my accuracy by taking a little more time, bu...

Number on my receipt from today is 832-226-5252 (I didn't buy anything exciting.) The new place is really nice and has lots of room... and they were pretty busy when I was there. They told me that the range was going to open August 1st.

Re: Cargo Pockets

If I'm carrying the Kel-Tec .380 and I'm going to be in the car, I sometimes will drop it in the cargo pockets because I would be able to get to it a whole lot faster than if it was in my normal pockets.
