Re: Can the government take your guns in an emergency?

You guys are talking about rules and laws.

Unfortunately our current government doesn't seem to be bothered about such trivial things.

It's not just gun auctions. Aircraft tool auctions are the same way. People bid above new price on worn out junk.

You said that as if you think that small towns follow the rules like big towns do!

Nobody follows the rules any more.

Re: Empty chamber carry?

Since I don't live in a cops and robbers movie, I always have and always will carry with one in the chamber. I love watching these movies and counting how many times they rack the slide in the same scene involving a single assailant. Usually at least two... LOL.

In the movies, "racking the ...

I'm not gonna go read the DOJ lawsuit, but something just doesn't smell right. In their binding agreements with contractors, NASA typically includes a boatload of "Clauses Incorporated by Reference" from the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR; https://www.acquisition.gov/far/ . One of those is ...

Re: Portable Generators

I DO remember 1980!

A big part of the problem is the media exaggerating the situation by emphasizing "FEELS LIKE" numbers.

This is TEXAS. It's supposed to be hot for 10 months.

LEDs themselves DO last a very long time. Unfortunately the power supplies that run them don't! That's where the failures are.

Re: Legal thoughts

I've said it before and I'll say it again; I WOULD NEVER, EVER, LIVE UNDER AN HOA! The idea that someone else can tell me what I can or can't do with my property is beyond my comprehension.

I understand that cities have certain ordinances, but those are almost always reasonable.

I have NEVER, in ...

Re: new mortage rules for may 1st

These policies are all about wealth transfer. I don't work to support people outside of my family. Maybe these people with bad credit need to fix their own problems.

What's that famous quote I keep hearing on TV? "Do you owe over $10,000 on your credit card? It's not your fault!"
