Re: Are Ham radios becoming like guns in CA?

They are quick to ban anythi ng that they do not understand. They understand it. They also understand that its a service that they don't control it. Hams are for the most part conservative. California hams tend to be gun owners and they are typically organized. Hams in general form complex communic...

Re: Pmags- gen 2 vs gen 3 questions

I am a Mag-Pul fan, although I here that the Lancers are very good also. I use them in my Ruger Scout rifle. I particularly like the Gen 3. I store my ammo in them so that they remain stuffed for months at a time. The dust covers do give an added measure of security. But the most important thing to ...

Re: "Criminal Motorcycle Gang" and LTC

The crime of unlawfully carrying a weapon is defined in TXPC 46.02. There are exceptions (technically defenses to prosecution) laid out in 46.15. Being a LEO, Fed, having LTC , traveling, sporting activity, etc. If the person charged has a 46.15 exception (defense) that applies, the prosecution mus...

Re: GA: Bread delivery guy bags robber, made honorary deputy

Bread delivery guy sees employees running out of Hardees. Goes inside with his gun. (But he should train some more - 4 shots fired and BG runs off and grabs some kids? That's a no-no in my book.) 2 hits out of 4 shots on a moving target that is shooting back at you, isn't all that bad. More and mor...

Re: TX: Houston Police Officer has ND shooting self at academy range

I'm betting that it was a striker-fired weapon such as a Glock, Probably paired with a Blackhawk Serpa. It's called Glock leg though, not Serpa Leg. Glock Leg has happened with other holsters too. But in the case of the Serpa, it happens with 1911s too (warning.....F-Bomb and SoB after he shoots hi...

Re: Pulled over for speeding, Plano

I got pulled over once between Needville and Boling by a Ft Bend Deputy. He asked me where I was going. I told him. He asked why I was going there. I told him. He asked about my radio and antenna, I told him what it was. He then asked what my social security number was. I told him I don't have to te...

Re: Port Neches Plant Explosion on security video

And a class action suit was already filed. People are already seeing dollar signs from this. After an automobile accident, the first thing most of us do is exchange insurance papers. Is this any different? Typically these things aren't just accidents, but gross acts of negligence. Blowing out peopl...

Re: TX:The mean streets of Houston

Y'all can blame Acevedo all you want, but someone put him there and Acevedo hasn't changed his stripes. He is the same incompetent leftist as he has been for years before he was hired. Acevedo didn't force the Mayor and city council to hire him. He didn't elect the judges that run trials, He didn't ...

Re: Cleaning Crevices

I use pipe cleaners and/or a toothbrush. Microfiber cloth seems to get into tight crevices. Balistol seems to soften everything up so that nothing needs much real scrubbing.
