Re: Used my CHL as ID

My understanding is that the CHL isn't "official" ID in texas, but that it was being taken up by the legislature this session. Not sure if that ever happened.

Re: Car following me

A number of years ago I agitated some jackwagon somehow. Not even sure how I did it. It looked like the car was following me, so I did a couple random right turns back to my original course. Yep, following me. So I did a couple random left turns and ended up on a dead end street. The car made a move...

Re: Interesting Discussion with a Game Warden Today

It is real simple. Unless the owner retains rights, such as hunting, in the lease, those rights belong to the Lessee, not the Lessor. This. Think of it as if you lease a beach home for the summer. You might not spend every day at the house, but you're leasing it. Now the home owner's son tells his ...

Re: Beeville,TX dashcam:LEO draws on drawn gun,kills BG w/3

I have a question that has been bothering me quite a bit. Why does everyone say something like "Now that cop and his family have to deal with the consequences", or some such and its not the legal side of things being discussed? I posted recently that I am re-reading a J. Frank Dobie book entitled "...

Re: Carrying a Magazine

The only place I'd worry about the spare magazines is anywhere that might have a metal detector or xray machine (like a courthouse). They probably consider the ammo contraband, and I'd avoid taking them there.

Re: Not yet

So I know there was a second class in April and now there is a class in June (I'm in the June one). Have you had a chance to get into one of those classes? I got offered the June class. I'm weighing wether I'm going to take it or not, now that I'm working again I'm not sure I'll have the time to ac...

Re: dogs, bicycles, rabid skunks Halt spray

We had at least one "spirited" thread about dogs and bikes. I ride 3 times a week on designated bike trails in my Town and have been doing it for over 5 years, Like Jamisjockey, I was bitten in the leg by an aggressive dog, too. I've given the matter a lot of thought since then. 1. My ride takes me...

Re: Shortened Shotty

I do want to pattern it. That's something I've never done. The longest possible shot inside my apartment is about 20 feet, so I don't expect the pellets to spread too much. The Trijicon TrijiDot is a fiber optic sight that looks like it clamps on the rib. That looks like an easy install, but I'm pr...

Re: Sales guy needs some carry advice

I love that within the first page, people are already telling you to buy a new gun. "rlol" Personally, I'd suggest you go IWB tuckable. Texas dan is on the money. Carry one of the guns you have, that you shoot well. Get a quality holster. Dress over the gun to conceal it. One thing, you said you spe...

Re: dogs, bicycles, rabid skunks Halt spray

I was bitten by a large, aggressive dog while on a bike ride back in 2003. I don't take loose k9's lightly. Skip the spray and go lethal.

Thanks. I think the company has specific cards I need to use, waiting for them in the mail.
