Re: US Senate's top cop: "more guns not the answer"

I caught him this morning on one of the cable networks.. Whenever I hear a LEO suggest that citizens should not be armed, I roll my eyes.. A member here has a sig quote that I liked... My paraphrasing.. (because I'm old and can't remember exactly) "When you're in urgent need of the police, rest assu...

Re: Sarah Palin: "America's Enduring Strength"

For some reason, I want to find a reason not to like her... I'm failing so far. Although I don't agree with her on all the issues, her comportment has earned my respect. Even her TV show has been pretty good family fare. A worthwhile statement from her. Even more commendable was her initial statemen...

Re: How to persuade people to

Shooting is already fun..
Only way to make it more fun is to cut the price of a Kimber Compact CDP by 50%

OK, a Colt LW Defender then...

Re: Thank goodness we live in Texas

Back in the late 80's I made the mistake of taking a job in NJ and lived there for about 18 months. A friend came to visit me from NC. He was a grad student, sharing a house with other grad students, and decided to bring his shotgun with him on the road, rather than leave it at home where one of his...

Re: 5.56 "Fat 50" Ammo Cans

I'm sure the seller will get back to you but I had 6 of the cans shipped to Carrollton/75006 and the USPS charge on the box was $20. I think it goes by weight and box size so you may need to tell him how many you want & what zip code. Thanks... That's less postage than I expected.. You're shipping ...

Re: 22LR AK47, Armscor AK 22: DEEPLY DISCOUNTED for CHL

Best "gun for sale" ad ever... :hurry: Honesty like that deserves a bump.. Looks like a hassle to take it apart for cleaning (only 17 steps for disassembly :grumble ), but should not be impossible. Just a bit of patience required... and maybe a couple cups of coffee (decaf). Then again, I do a lot o...

Re: my first time

The one time I was stopped for speeding while carrying, after declaring (didn't want to reach for anything), then displaying my CHL, DL, etc, the trooper politely asked me to "keep my hands on the wheel". He went back to his vehicle, checked me out and wrote me a warning (NC). Easy. Honestly, I thin...

Re: Modification

I believe she'd need to go back to an instructor and re-take only the proficiency portion of the test. Assuming she passes, the instructor would give her an updated proficiency certificate (and submit the update to DPS as well). Then you'd fill out the DPS form and submit it with the new proficiency...
