TX: College Station Stand off at a bar

College Station police started sending out tweets about closing off a section of Texas Ave due to shot(s) fired and a standoff at a bar/club in a shopping center. This started going out about 11:00am today and seems to still be an ongoing situation. Swat on the scene. http://www.kbtx.com/content/new...

Re: California Professor Charged with Assaulting 7 with Bike Lock Gets Probation

I saw in a Rolling Stone article that covered this event, an interesting description of how they identified this guy: "As soon as the protest ended, the trolls and hackers who used the site launched a fevered search for Stiles’ assailant – a suspect they took to calling “Bike Lock Guy.” From the mom...

Real Texans consider a Texas handshake as more binding than something on paper.
In other words, a verbal agreement.

I also charge and or pay finders fees based on a percentage of the job I'm either taking or subing out.
I’m guessing you guys agree to this up front which is a very different story than what I’m hearing from the OP. If there is missing info then different story.

Re: Looking to get a unbiased opinion on a personal business situation

It sounds like you had no written or oral agreement with this guy. Him coming up with terms after the fact is a non-starter. You should invoice your customer for your fee, let them know you had no written or verbal agreement with this guy before hand and therefore they owe your invoice. If they had ...

Re: Unmask Antifa Act

Read the same on Brietbart https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/07/11/left-wing-antifa-terrorists-freaking-out-over-proposed-unmasking-law/ Not sure why you need a mask law to arrest someone who is already breaking the law ( looting, assaulting, etc..) But I am OK with it. If I ever need a...

Re: Man attacks teens in San antonio over MAGA hat

I hope the DA makes a quick and very public example of this. The state and country need to see that the law is not on their side and will not look the other way with this type of behavior or this will continue to escalate across the country.

check the fine print when you joined and signed it That doesn't make it illegal. It just means they can revoke your membership. I'll take that gamble. Are you sure it doesn’t? Is that not written notice that a member has acknowledged receiving? Doesn't matter. If it's not 30.06 wording, it's not en...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Kasich is a closet liberal anyway. Ted Cruz is one of the swamp creatures with nothing more than his own political advancement as a concern. The country needed a President that is willing to turn that mess inside out. President Trump had nothing to gain by running. He is simply trying to MAKE AMERI...

Re: Does The NRA Pay Million Dollars Salaries To Some In The Leadership??

I agree with the sentiments that this is in line with organizations of this size and scope of mission. It left me wondering about the motive of the article. Was this news worthy of making it into the paper or is it intended to create fissures in the ranks. I remember talking to someone going to univ...

Re: Yelp* reviews for businesses that post 30.06 and/or 30.07

My take on a tactic like using Yelp is that there is more potential to hurt than help. For those of us who care about signs, we have 3006, word of mouth and our eyes to see. We can talk to owners or mail companies if we want. A potential unintended consiquence of using something like yelp i think se...

MN: CCL holder defends against knife after multi-car accident

Someone sent me the link to this article out of Minnesota. It sounds like a four car accident led to some odd behavior by one of the drivers. It ended with him pulling a knife and moving towards a CCL holder that was driving one of the other cars. CCL holder stopped the threat. http://www.startribun...
