Re: Anyone loading the 300 BLK?

Fired my 24 rds of Garand along with some factory PPU ammo, my reloads were hitting slightly lower POI & the brass was not being flung as far as the PPU factory loads. Function was great. I think i'm going to get some wet tumbling equipment, the dull brass was lost easily in the grass. No proble...

Re: Anyone loading the 300 BLK?

I loaded 3 clips worth of 47.5 gr 4064 at 3.3" oal HXP and Korean cases. I realized I don't have a crimp die for 30-06, so they are loaded to the cannelure but uncrimped at this point. I'll see if I have setback issues and I'll test them for function when I go out and create some more brass for...

Re: Anyone loading the 300 BLK?

Thanks guys, I now understand the reasoning behind the brass types, thanks. (will have to pick up a cutaway gauge.) I'll sort my cases by head stamp and see what I have. Most of it is military brass, I usually shoot surplus. I do have some Wolf brass but I don't think that has found its way into the...

Re: AR build complete... What now?

I was shooting handloads of 60gr Vmax with a pretty light load of Accurate 2230 hence my concern. I read up on the problem at various places and decided to get a heavier buffer and heavier spring. This article was about the best I could find. If both are too much I can remove one or the other. Larr...

Anyone loading the 300 BLK?

So after about a year hiatus from reloading, I have moved in to a new place and set up a garage bench for loading and other projects. I have loaded about 1k each of 45 ACP and 9mm in the past, so I am by no means experienced, but I feel that I have learned a lot. I have moved my focus to my 2 calibe...

Just thought I'd drop by and say, good luck. And congratulations on making the longest 2 man thread (I think, maybe) on the forum!

Interesting stuff. :thumbs2:

Re: Old 22 Rifles

My favorite old 22. Remington M24 - the balance, weight, and takedown are superb. For an Ironsight semi-auto plinker 22, I think this design is yet to be matched. Re: Test Driving a S&W Airweight

Between the recoil and the heavy trigger-pull, the airweights are a challenge to shoot. Hopefully your able to put a couple-hundred rounds through it while you have it. Best of luck. Trigger pull can be adjusted with just 12.95 for a Wilson spring kit and a smithing stone you can get a really nice ...

Love my Ariats.
I've found Ariats take the longest for me to destroy, which is my criteria when buying almost anything.
