Re: encounter w/Lampasas LEO
So Erik had two license plate lights, and only one was burnt out. Seems to me the law only requires one in the first place, or doesn't specify number except that the plate must by illuminated. Correct, I(Eric) had one of the two burnt out, the officer stated that the remaining lit bulb did not prov...

Sorry if this was already mentioned, but are there any opening day specials? On guns/ammo/accessories?

Re: 2 guns or 3....
I have tried three a few times:
G22 IWB @ 2:30
Springfield XD sub compact IWB @ 7:00
LCP in pocket.
It was too much, and distracting.
I think two is the MAX for me. One with a mag is pretty good IMHO.
It is all preference. I think each carrier should do a cost-benefit when deciding on 2 and up.

Re: Printing on jeans back pocket
Anyone have experience with the Ruger LCP wallet-style "shroud-holster"
It fits over the gun and makes the print look exactly like a wallet, with an added finger groove.
I was thinking about getting one for this kind of printing issue.

Re: Mace/Pepper Spary - Texas Law
In my opinion, in the above scenario, if the cops showed up, they'd potentially understand the potential fear of the woman, and since mace doesn't generally do any permanent damage, they'd probably let her go, unless the other guy was insistant about pressing charges. Even if he was, and the scenar...

Re: Calif judge to stop 'don't ask, don't tell' policy
RSJ, you are not reading me correctly. If your behavior (including speech) provokes someone to attack you, you do not get to claim self-defense. I do not believe this. I can say what ever I wish (legally) as long as it isn't a threat, and if attacked I can defend myself. This is not to say that if ...

Re: Calif judge to stop 'don't ask, don't tell' policy
You are talking about provocing someone to violence. I am saying that you CANNOT LEGALLY use violence against anyone for words, even faul words- without threats, immediate actions imminent etc. Even using absolutely disgusting hate speech without an articulable threat doesn't warrant violent action ...

...you have a constitutional 1st Amendment right to spout obscenities, but you don't have a right to spout obscenities under certain situations .... You also don't have the right to not get the snot beat out of you. Actually you do, verbal provocation or even hate speech is not grounds for any phys...

Re: Calif judge to stop 'don't ask, don't tell' policy
in my opinion the 2nd Amendment: Collectively forbids the people (citizens as a whole) from being disarmed Individually allows for private citizens to keep, have, and posses firearms BUT it subject to restrictions, (time, place and manner) However, if a private company decides that on its' private p...

Re: Calif judge to stop 'don't ask, don't tell' policy
I really don't see much of a comparison between sexual orientation discrimination (fundamental civil right) in the military (in government), and 2nd Amendment law. Many organizations and people are working to extend "gay rights" to become a recognized as an absolute fundamental civil right...

Re: When stopped by a law enforcement officer
I hit the "all the way down" setting on the power window. It requires much less movement, and the window is already down when LEO gets there. If it is night time, I reach up to the ceiling mounted button to turn on an overhead light. This will be A) clearly visible to the officer, and B) ...

Re: SFA: Arrested for "Place where Weapons Prohibited"
Back to the original topic... I'd like to add (whether you find it relevant or not) that I was a student at SFA at the time of this incident (I have recently graduated). The incident in question is in direct response to shots fired within 50 feet or so of campus. Updated: 9:38 pm, Sun May 2, 2010. &...
