Wow. I got my utah permit a few years ago and I received it in less than 30 days with a statement that it could be revoked because my background check was still "pending". I mailed in a change of address recently and I received a new permit in 3 weeks. Im surprised they are taking so long...

We looked at ours today when we got them, went yuck on the pictures (no offence to the picture takers...) and I just locked them up for 5 years... Actually, the wife likes my Utah picture better than the Texas one. I guess Marty should make a new career as a photographer!!  :grin...

BTW, are you going to carry it with you, or secure it in a safe for a rainy (non-Texas CHL) day???.
I put it in my billfold along with my Texas CHL.

Yours will be here by the end of the week, I'd wager.

I graduated from Sterling High in Baytown in 1972. My parents were moved up here to Dallas in 1995. I haven't been back since 1995. There were tremendous changes from 1972 to 1995. I can only imagine the changes from 1995 - 2007. I actually shudder. :!:

Yep, it probably took longer to print out the letter than it would have taken to laminate the card.

Oh well, it will be here soon enough.

Utah license letter

Well, I got a surprise in the mail today. I got an official letter from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation of Utah that will serve as my temporary concealed firearm permit. It goes on to say that my standard permit card will be forthcoming. It doesn't say how long I will have to wait for the card,...

Well, I am in the REAL minority. I guess I need to rethink my carry habits. I carry in the front pocket a S&W 642 a total of 5 rounds. I have a speed strip with 5 more rounds, but have gotten sloppy and have not been putting it in my pocket. I do carry a pocket knife, but no flashlight or notebo...

Just thought I would give this one a bump to the top. Anyone else decide they where going to go? I wish I were there to go to it. I'm sitting here in Galveston Island State Park and my camping site is under water. It has rained and rained and rained. It finally stopped this afternoon, but they are ...
