I also believe the Forum discourages or forbids advocating unlawful activities or conduct, which using non type accepted or approved radios in FRS and GMRS is. "Well, it's only in emergencies." Right! From what I have seen this area (Harris County / Galveston) is pretty disciplined during...

Re: Three professors sue UT to keep guns out of their classrooms
There is a system maintained by the Federal courts for access to all court filed documents, called PACR. You register, give a deposit and they bill monthly. Less than $10 a month, no charge. It gives access to all Federal courts. IIRC, it's 10 cents a page to download. I used to use it all the time...

Re: Morse Code Man -- Superhero!
I discourage encouraging people to become licensed amateurs who have little or no interest in amateur radio itself, merely want it "just in case...." There is a lot more to communicating on amateur frequencies and especially in organized nets than having the right paperwork and a radio. Wh...

Great article! Thanks for posting JALLEN! :thumbs2: I'd love to have a ham shack like that guy! Anybody recognize his transceiver? Looked kinda like a Kenwood or an ICOM, or Maybe a TEN-TEC, or maybe a Yeasu.....or something. Great antenna farm he had too! Decent gear, not an exceptional ante...

Re: Wells Fargo anti gun/weapon stance
Txglock, Apparently a lot of their customers have had a much different experience since over 5000 employees were fired for fraud involving many of Wells Fargo customers. Glad you were spared the headache many of their customers suffered. If they can fire 5,000 of them, why can't they fire them all?...

Re: This Day In Texas History - September 20
Fascinating, again. I intend to learn more about the tidelands issue. I have always thought Texas voted for Eisenhower on his own merits. After all, everybody like[d] Ike! It's a pity all that money from tidelands leases, and it must be a staggering sum in the 6 decades since, has been wasted on edu...

Re: Clinton team used special program to scrub server
...... I doubt the IT guy was told to shut down the server and get rid of it by anyone other than Clinton or her lieutenants. I'm sick of people ignoring the wrongdoing, making excuses and whitewashing her corrupt criminal activity. Senator Pat Geary: Mr. Cici, was there always a buffer involved? W...

Re: uneven reciprocity
There are very few CA permit holders. Reciprocity means nearly nothng. Some counties would have a hard time fielding a softball team. Permits are issued by county sheriffs. In San Diego where I had a permit, I was under the impression there were around 1800 of us. The most recent numbers I've seen w...

Re: Storing Loaded Pistol in Car?
Ever heard of a decocker? I had a Sig 226 Navy for years. When you rack the slide, a round is loaded, the pistol is cocked, hammer back. You press the decocker, the hammer goes down, now you are ready to go D/A. No problem! I've only had one pistol with a decocker. It always made me nervous droppin...

Re: Why Do They Do That?
These commercial producers are discriminating on the basis of handedness and it is unfair. Lefties need work, too. If you are going to try to cozy up to lefties with your commercials, pretending to be inclusive and fair, you ought to at least hire lefties to appear in them.
