Re: Best advetising?
I agree with there is a very good possibility in spending too much in advertising. After you deduct the range, classroom costs, printing costs and initial startup issues such as insurance, projector, speakers, etc. the profit margin per student is pretty small. This is something you can make up for ...

Re: My Work Place- Weapons Policy???
I used to work for a company with a very strong anti firearm HR manual. I still kept it locked in the car in the parking garage while working and they never ran a search.
In a new job now and nothing in their HR manual. Big relief however still leaving gun in truck.

Re: Fear of action
This is one of the great things about this forum. Its a chance to discuss and decide calmly then in the heat of action. Hesitation can slow you down and its best to resolve these issues for yourself now.

Re: Can a Sunday School Teacher Carry?
I feel signing the document is an action of your word as a person. Regardless of legality they clearly have the intent that you are not to carry. Need to respect their wishes beyond the letter of the law. That said maybe you might resign from the position or as stated find another church.

I had to miss the conference, as much as I wanted to attend, however started a new job in June and do not have any time off yet. Could someone that attended please fill in some details? It sounds like you didn't get much and from the above posts they are waiting until Sept 1st to post anything. Is t...

Re: Trip To The Doctor While Carrying
My doctor is also my friend. He knows I carry, and when I told him I was getting certified as a CHL Instructor, he wants to take the course. My wife's doctor is very into guns.

Re: Moving from Colorado to Texas
I may be joining this discussion a little late.
When submitting your State Application you need to wait until after Sept 1st to take the 4+ hour course. If you submit before the effective date of the new law you still have to take the 10 hour class.

Once he has removed his body it is visible by people walking by. It is not concealed in this location unless he also has something over it.

Re: Question regarding classtimes
I believe DPS is required to follow the statues of the law, and must decide on the basis of the laws in effect when the application was filed. Its not likely that they have much leeway in making these decisions.

Re: Who wants a reloading room? I DO!
I'm impressed with people that have a dedicated space. I use the 100+ degree garage, after the truck is moved out to the drive, and everything folds for storage. Finally getting ahead of the game as I seem to be reloading approx. twice as much as I'm shooting. Stocks are building up again. Reloading...

Was stripping a Kel Tec P-11 on the patio and the spring went flying. spent hours on hands and knees, even dragged a magnetic over yard. Finally ordered a replacement from Kel tec for $2.09 which included shipping. Now when I strip a gun down its in a controlled environment.
